Oh not at all. A Bloodname assigned to a phenotype just means it is generally used to create that phenotype but not exclusively. It can happen, it is just not common.

Ah, thank you :) Was a bit confused since it just seemed like it'd be used specifically on one type of warrior, but considering how advanced Clan genetics are I guess I should not be surprised.

I'd rather be a IS pilot defending against the Clanners.. However my wife always liked Clan Ghostbear. perhaps she will capture me and make me her bondsman :)

I don't know why but I've associated with Clan Ghost Bear as far back as I remember. My first contact with BT was Mechwarrior 2 then Ghost Bear Legacy. I never played the board game but did once have a collection of 35 or so novels - loved the novels.

Might as well share this - cut/pasted this together as my windows login screen some time back - still really like it.Posted Image

On the RP side - I've honestly never made an RP char for Ghost Bear - I'm sure once will eventuate after a while.

Clan Wolf, of course. They are the creators of some of the greatest 'Mechs ever. The Timber Wolf and Dire Wolf, or the Mad Cat and Daishi for you Inner Sphere Freebirths. Kerensky's chosen!

I would definitely go Clan Wolf. Wardens of Earth and descendants of Kerensky. There is no much better Quiaff?

Clan Smoke Jaguar iirc designed the Dire Wolf.

CW designed it, CSJ won a trial of possession for the plans and were the first to build it.

That is correct. They both get credit for the production. However Wolves take the majority of the credit. It is not called DireJaguar after all. <_<

It was Ulric who won back the production rights IIRC.

If i had a 100% choice to rewrite invasion history id join up with the Clan Goliath Scorpion but for this i Voted Clan Nova Cat cause of the similarities to CGS, but it was between them and Clan Ghost Bear

Here are the Wolf bloodnames, in general they are separated but as Jaroth Winson said it is very uncommon for it to be used outside the designated line:

Bloodnames

General Bloodnames :
Fetladral
Kerensky
Conners (former Clan Widowmaker Bloodname)
MechWarriors :
Carns
Radick
Sender (former Clan Widowmaker Bloodname)
Vickers (former Clan Widowmaker Bloodname)
Ward
Elementals:
Shaw
Sradac
Tutuola
Pilots:
Ch'in
Leroux (former Clan Widowmaker Bloodname)
Mehta
Rhyde (former Clan Widowmaker Bloodname)

I'm a bit confused at your post, not that it's not well written out, but seems...unnecessary?

Just thought there was interest in regards how the Bloodnames (these are as of 3054) were spread depending if your Mechwarrior, Elemental and so forth.

Jaroth Winson, these are from sarna.net, didnt have time to pull out all of my books to go thru them atm.

Sarna was where I went to check to see that Kabrinski is normally an Elemental bloodname, thus arose my initial confusion (which as been cleared,) about one of the later Ghost Bear Khans that's a Mechwarrior having that bloodname.

It's pretty interesting going through their full list of bloodnames (though I'm sure Sarna misses one or two,) and looking to which clans have what.
