My clan lore is lacking so I ask this: What clan would be most closely associated with the colors Sage, Gold and Gunmetal(My default paint scheme)

Jade Falcon, or Steel Viper are the greeny clans, not exactly sage green though.

I think he's thinking of steel viper the other colors match up pretty well for them even if I also wouldn't call it sage green.

Hmm, Steel Vipers sound like dicks. I mean there is being individualistic, there is being self-centered and then there is being the Steel Vipers ;)

Dark age never happened! Well it never happened in my mind anyway.

I will stay stuck in 3050, 3052, or 3067 for the rest of my life!

Eh, either way the Jaguars survive. I mean....annihilation means exactly that.....annihilation. :D

http://en.wikipedia....ki/Annihilation

The fact the Jaguars survived because of a warship (Streaking Mist) that escaped along with whoever else managed to stay alive (hint: other unconfirmed spacecraft) defeats the whole saying of "The Jaguars got annihilated". You can't say something was annihilated and yet there is something remaining..... ...let alone no real hard numbers/data on how many Jaguars remain post Bulldog/Serpent and how much the Jaguars have grown/rebuilt in the Dark Age era.

Jeez, terminology these days. ;)

EDIT: Essentially what Bulldog/Serpent meant for CSJ is that it merely forced CSJ from being a major Invading Clan to a Periphery Power of sorts considering the survivors + Streaking Mist Warship + whatever other supplies/ships they could manage to get from the scrap heaps that is the Deep Periphery. CSJ never truly died and Surrender Your Dreams (whether you like canon Dark Age or not) confirmed that.

Considering the innersphere destroyed or captured all smoke jaguar manufacturing, clan databases, and their genetic repositories I'm don't see how the other clans would even accept a attempt to rebuild the jaguars particularly with the fact that most crusaders still consider the Innersphere foes not worth considering a threat.

Considering the Grand Council is long past gone by the time of Dark Ages and the Wars of Reaving that the Homeworld Clans have done to each other, I fail to see how any other faction (House or Clan) has any say on how the surviving Smoke Jaguars should rebuild themselves. The Republic of the Sphere provided the Jaguars with factories - a means with which to rebuild their military, a place on New Earth (Mopelia Island) and later freed the Jaguars after Fortress Republic (21+ years since). In return the Fidelis (aka the Smoke Jaguars as that is who they were REVEALED to be) saved a nation/faction and redeemed themselves as a whole. (Yeah I know, the Smoke Jaguars as good guys.....how "TERRIBLE" of an idea! )

Let alone considering from the time of the FedCom Civil War (3062-3067) to the Jihad (3068-3080) ALL the way to Dark Age (3081+)....THAT is a really long time period that the Jaguars have been wandering around in the Periphery/InnerSphere/wherever. Like....what have the surviving Smoke Jaguars been doing all this time? Playing poker in some backwater world? Fending off pirate attacks? Helping Chuck Norris get revenge when he got the crap beaten out of him by Bruce Lee? ;)

*LOL couldn't show the Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris vid* :D

And if you read the ending of Surrender Your Dreams when Adamans is given the The Unopened Work:

"He looked at the book once more. The symbol on the cover was a powerful leaping predator - a smoke jaguar - and the image made his heart swell with pride." - Surrender Your Dreams, by Blaine Lee Pardoe, Page 294.

Yeah, that REALLY shows the Smoke Jaguars are quite "dead" indeed.

Oh and another good page from Surrender Your Dreams, page 173:

"Damien allowed himself a smile. 'I appreciate that. I'm pleased to see that you stay current with the affairs of The Republic outside your sanctuary here.' He waved his hand to indicate the room but symbolically spoke of the entire island where the Fidelis lived. It had been given to them by Devlin Stone. New Earth had been hit early in the Jihad by a bioweapon that had killed hundreds of thousands; afterward, no one wanted to live on Mopelia Island. It had cities, factories, farms, ports - everything needed to support a culture, but the ghosts of that bioweapon struck fear in the citizens of New Earth. The island had proven a safe place for the Fidelis. They could live there and take advantage of a massive infrastructure and not bother with the rest of the world."

If this is not proof that the Smoke Jaguars have survived, then I do not know WHAT is......

I always liked the Ghost Bears and wolves then again I'm well aware that the Battletech writers decide who they want you to like when crafting their story. Perhaps if there had been a Clan Smoke Jaguar centric novel where they were likeable in anyway. ( I'm thinking of Exodus road here where the only one you didn't want to see dead was Trent. )

Regardless, I voted Clan Ghost Bear for their sense of family and for the Rasalhague Dominion in the far flung future.

Tell the Wolves, they still claim they annihilated the not-named-ones.

Thank you Vipers & Cats.

Yeah its pretty much the "JAGUARS ARE DEAD REGARDLESS OF ANY SURVIVORS THERE MAY BE" (aka Twilight of the Clans   ) that is possibly the reason for so little votes for CSJ. Although I keep wondering how an "annihilated" Clan can be so when:

1. The Jaguars survived. (Both in lore and gameplay groups).
2. The Streaking Mist (Warship) survived.
3. Other possibly unknown spacecraft survived (dropships, jumpships etc....I mean not ALL of the Jaguar survivors could be cramped into that ONE warship.....could they? )
4. ~SJ~ has one of the most top rated MWLL (MechWarrior Living Legends) servers (Huntress) and continues to be VERY active in the mod. (Not bad for a "dead" Clan I must say.  )
5. Surrender Your Dreams is full of awesome.
6. Dark Ages is full of awesome (for underdog factions that is - Jaguars and Capellans rejoice!). :P
7. The character Adamans from Surrender Your Dreams is badass.
8. The Republic of the Sphere is badass (for helping the Jaguars that is; Jaguars return the favor by saving the Republic). B)

And so on and so on.....

Regardless, I think the sooner people realize that the Smoke Jaguars are truly not dead, the sooner our votes will go up! ;)

Jag, I respect your prowess in combat, but what I don't respect is the fact that you think there are Smoke Jag Trueborns, and then there are everyone else. If you aren't a Trueborn in that Clan, you are kinda screwed over. I do not care that you got annihilated by the Spheriods, due to your own stupidity. Now, granted maybe you proved yourselves in the eyes of others since your "Annihilation", and good for you. I still have grudges, and I will keep them until I have my blood **** sated.

Wolf Clan for sure. I liked their leader's Warden philosophy from the get go. When the split comes between the Wolf Wardens and Crusaders, I will have to go with Khan Phelan Kell and help ward the Inner Sphere.
