;) Back up that statement. I can prove otherwise. Either show me something to counter it, withdraw your statement or face a Trial of Grievance, Ghost Bear.

Ghost bear is more open to outsiders and new ideas. and takes freeborn warriors as bondsmen if they are good enough. clan tech with some common sense is dangerous.

Quote

Following a suggestion by Khan Nadia Winson of Clan Ghost Bear in the year 3000, Clan politicking created a unit that was to be sent back to the Inner Sphere on a long-term mission to reconnoiter it, posing as a mercenary unit, to prepare for the planned conquest by the Clans. The mission was placed under the command of the freeborn brothers Jaime Wolf and Joshua Wolf, who named the unit Wolf's Dragoons.

The unit’s personnel was largely recruited from freeborn volunteers, mostly from Clan Wolf, and only a relatively few trueborn Clan warriors. Clan Wolf also provided special training for the fledgling unit to mask their origins.

No citation was provided. It appears that both statements are correct to a degree, when more information is provided.

Sarna has proven time & again to be inaccurate. Only spheroids trust it & NO, your statement has NO truth in it. Nadia Winson did NOT come up with the idea, she merely approved it after seeing how popular it was with most of the Clans.

Psst, Clan Wolf sourcebook page 24 states that it was Khan Kerlin Ward who proposed the Merc unit after Khan Nadia Winson forced his hand.

edit:
Okay now we have two sources;

I sometimes think that we should start a archive or something concerning all things Clan.
Some of the information out there is just plain wrong.

A 2012 PPC Warhawk Enterprises sort of thing, quiaff?

Now I know to people who are Warriors, the idea may sound unappealing, but what about something along the lines of The Watch?

Aff, I already made a couple of articles on this site, so we have some base material to start with.

You know, there's a correct and polite way to exchange information with other people, and there's what you just did. Out of respect for the forum rules I'm showing some restraint, but let it be known that I think you need to take some time out to sharpen your social skills.

He needs to take a hint from Stormwolf. A person who seems to realize that when you present information from a credible source no reasonable person will have a problem with being corrected.

http://www.sarna.net.../Wolfs_dragoons

First paragraph of the first section:

"Following a suggestion by Khan Nadia Winson of Clan Ghost Bear in the year 3000, Clan politicking created a unit that was to be sent back to the Inner Sphere on a long-term mission to reconnoiter it, posing as a mercenary unit, to prepare for the planned conquest by the Clans. The original Wolfs Dragoons did have many Clan Wolf warriors in their ranks, as well as warriors from a multitude of other clans. However, it was Clan Ghost Bear that thought up the whole scheme. I will forgo my own Trial of Grievance this time

Sarna does not trump sourcebooks, It is a wiki, and edited by people. It is a reference guide but there are errors. This is one of them.

As well CJF SB

You are incorrect Gabriel Bekker as the sourcebooks show. The idea was conceived of by Khan Kerlin Ward of Clan Wolf.

@ Mike Silva

My reply was neither over the top nor obscene. I did not insult the poster. It was plain & more importantly, factually accurate. If you do not like that I did not add sprinkles on my post or added peaches & cream to it, that is your problem. Love how you left the first part out about Sarna being inaccurate & that YOU get offended, when the person I was replying to, did not. Also from the above quote, Gabriel Bekker, who seems to a reasonable person, did not seem to grasp that the sourcebooks are the most reliable sources of information. If you have a problem with the way I post my information, perhaps we can settle on the field of battle in a Circle of Equals?

Stormwolf is Stormwolf. I am Jaroth.

I do get it now. You're trying to role play a Clan warrior on an internet forum; there's absolutely no other explanation for why you choose to behave this way.

Actually I was not. When I RP, I type differently. As I said you are the only one with the problem & if you are worried about the forums rules, you can PM me. Otherwise deal with it. As Coffinail said, I have been posting like this from the jump. I was not picking on Gabriel. There is no maliciousness in the post.
