My Crysis 2 single player is lagging like it's cool, as well as Battlefield 3 online and single player. And with a setup for what I said above, this shouldn't be happening. It is not hot, I just started it and wanted to play some BF3 when I got home a couple minutes ago, but I need help!!! :)

EDIT: Games like Deus Ex Human Revolution and Black Ops and freaking Diablo 3 are working fine, but those two are driving me nuts.

Wait, are you on a MWO forum asking for help with BF3?

I don't see what is wrong with him posting here to be honest, that is just my opinion. It is just the replys so far seem a little hostile.

What settings are you running it on? Have you tried to lower them to see if that solves it or anything? It is probably more complex than this though :)

I also found my BF3 to lag when my internet was crapping out, and it seemed like graphical lag, however it was the internet (had a 800 ping)

if its that many games at a guess i would say virus or something software that is bogging down your system that said more info on that your system is would help a DirectX system info is the normal way to show all system info needed to start helping with this...

also this is just a MW:O forum so the pool of ppl to help you is limited you might want to try asking for help on a site like futuremark.com they do 3d gaming benchmarks and have a larger group on their forums that might be able to offer more ideas faster

negative, i lowered the settings to rock bottom on both games and there is nothing happening. and the reason why i seem "hostile" is because i paid 2300 bucks for this laptop so i could game when im through AF bootcamp, and not have to buy a new computer every year, and it seems to be taking a **** on me

Just a question dude... have you tried updating your DirectX, Video Card drivers, and updating your operating system? I have an i3 2400 series, 8g RAM, with a 1G ATI card and I have absolutely no issues with running BF3, MWO, or Crysis... and what's funny is my settings are on high with those... and I don't have issues with running the latest update on MWO that lead to so much instability with people... which makes me believe i5 and i7 chipsets are overrated in combination with Nvidia cards. Albeit, my CPU and GPU run overclocked... they perform rather well for only attaining between a 25-45 fps online.

Please go into the NVIDIA control panel and set up a profile for MWO (link it to Launcher.exe in the Mechwarrior Online folder) and DISABLE Ambient Occlusion (set to OFF).

Should help loads.

Check your tempratures - google for some apps that can do it for you.

Last time I had a drastic performance drop I found my CPU heatsink was not properly attached,

With those specs I can't think of anything you should be having trouble with...

I have a single GeForce GT240, 3.3ghz i5 Quad Core and only 4 gig of ram and I can run (most) things fine if I lower my settings and turn AA off and that video card is old. Like... Ancient relic old... lol :)

So having said that your eye-watering setup should be awesome. Sounds to me like you've got something eating away at all your resources while you play... Try going into your task manager and see if you've got something that's eating up all your processing power/memory. Failing that I can only suggest try updating all your drivers.

Good luck and hope you get it sorted! :)

PS. As for posting on this forum who cares? He's not hurting anyone is he? :)

I'm just going to throw this out there, I've got an Alienware Area 51 I bought from Dell a couple of years ago, after about 6 months the computer started slowing down, I started having graphics problems and whole bunch of other issues, after countless hours with tech support numerous replacement parts including graphic cards and mother board they sent me a new computer, the last thing tech support told me to do was to turn off the windows auto update and to only update the graphics drivers as needed. I have done that and the computer has run flawlessly for the last year and a half. If it's not a hardware issue you may have to re-install your operating sys. and start fresh.

That's a ****-load of re-install lol, I have a LOT of games, but when i went window shopping of sorts online, my Digital Storm laptop was the best choice it seems, best tech support, best reviews, best parts, etc. I got the 17.3 inch, and at the time the best GPU, the 675M 2GB, before they came out with the 680M 2GB, a 480GB SSD and a 750GB HDD, although i think they screwed me out of the HDD, it says 486GB available on it. Other than that though, i am blown away, about 60-70 FPS in top BF3 graphics. Oh, and i finally got it fixed, BF3 finally runs smooth, but i havent checked crysis 2 yet

Tell me about it, tech support did a re-install on the first one over the internet, took them about 3 hours, glad to see you are getting it sorted out.

I'm really curious how this turned out as well since I have an Athlon II X4 (not as fast as an i7), GTX680 2GB, and 16GB RAM.

A AMD X4, GTX680 and 16GB is way more than enough for MWO.

@OP: Steam (games) updates, Windows updates, virus/firewall settings/updates, WLAN (that's what gave me killer lags) and last but not least viruses/malware. Might be worth to check them all. Also, is there a chance somebody is using your internet connection at the same time?

I have the same problem with my gaming computer. Its running
Intel Core i7-3960X (15M Cache, Overclocked up to 4.2 GHz)
4GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690
32GB (4 X 8GB) Quad Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz

With my gaming computer you would figure that the machine would have no problems but it does. Currenty I am forced to play with my Acer Aspire 7551 series. the game balks when it realizes that the aspire's GPU isnt compatable or so it says but it loads and runs fine. I just have to roll down the graphics a bit to make it work.

I think that it might have something to do with higher end systems. My gaming machine is why I was selected for BETA and I cant really even use it to its full potential. I am at a loss myself about this. I have updated my drivers and all settings using the links provided to me by the technical staff of MWO. They cant even figure out what the problem is I have had an open Ticket with them on this issue since BETA began.
