Comparing the currently available trial 'mechs, the Centurion is far larger than the Raven. I know that there's a major weight difference between the two, but the Centurion is almost as big as the Awesome. This means that the Centurion is almost as easy to hit as an assault 'mech when it has far, far less armour.
In my experiences driving the Centurion and the Hunchback, when it was available for trial, my 'mech was destroyed in a fraction of the time I would survive in a mech of any other weight class.
In short, I think that medium 'mechs need to be shrunk to better reflect their tonnage and armour protection or they will not be viable in the long term.

It would cause a ripple effect really... because then they would have to scale down the lights as well. There is probably a lot more to it than we think. I think you have a good point but it probably isn't viable.

How about they use the size listed for them in the TRO? Can you say if they are larger than what they should be?
