Anyone want to build a cockpit simulator on the cheap?

I know my wife would kill me if I tried to build one, but a guy can dream can't he? *sigh* That's why, when I was going through a local flea market, a couple weeks ago, my attention immediately went to a sitdown arcade machine one of the vendors had for sale. I could imagine this being an easy conversion. Build a new dashboard facade for the controls, replace the pedals, install a new display, put some decent cushions on the seat, and enclose the cockpit area. VOILA!

The unit is a "Cruisin' World" sitdown driving game. It's here in the Tampa, Florida area. I'm sure there are similar units for sale in all parts of the country and many other parts of the world. If anyone wants -this one-, drop me a note and I'll pass you the particulars. Here are some photos I took.

Hope this can do someone some good. I would hate to see it go to waste.

I'm going to bump this a couple times, just so everyone can see it. Can't believe there's no one with any comments about making a game like this into an easy cockpit conversion. *boggle*

yea...well... after i bought myself all porsche 911 carrera models of the last 20 years, built a garage around them and maybe put a house next to it...

after that i´ll consider buying that one cadaver

Yeah, she would kill me. I don't think that's THE Mechwarrior chair though. THIS one is fully enclosed with full motion.
