Bear in mind a 9100e as a socket AM2 1.8ghz quad core.
@1.8ghz its hardly fast by today's standards.
But this quad core should have more than THREE TIMES the performance of my P4 630 or Pentium D 820:

Do you have a better BENCHMARK ?

I still asume that his Vista is the source of his problems, maybe he is playing with only a SINGLE CPU of his 4

In applications designed for multiple cores it'll have twice the performance.
In single thread, not so much.

How can I compare a Intel Pentium D 954 with a 820 on this site ?

Accourding to your benchmark his CPU should be better than mine too, so why does he have a CPU score of less than 4 compaired to my Intel Pentium's which rank above 4 ?

It would depend on the testing Windows puts the chip through, i don't use it because its unlikely to be a reliable indicator.

What those benchmarks show you, is that in single thread the P4 can compete with the quad core AMD. In multithread applications the AMD quad core runs away with it.
Gaming is a different story as most new games come with recommended CPU specs that typically are 2GHZ+ on the processor front.

i can't find the 954 on that website for some reason, it has the 955 tho.

Sorry my fault, wanted to write 945 !

Accourding to HP, the Pentium D 950 is the best CPU which would work with my HP dc7600c, because of its BIOS which doesnt allow overclocking and a FSB of 800 :)

PS: currently I play on the computer of a friend with a Core 2 Duo E7300 & Geforce 9500 GS:

I currently have a bit more FPS with lowest settings but still below 20 FPS in heavy battles :P

I bought a HD7750 because it was CHEAP !

Less than 88€ at 6th December for a msi HD7750 crippled by 2GB DDR RAM ... although that doesnt matter currently as my memory bandwith is only 25.6 GB/s because of my HP dc7600c with a Pentium D 820 :)
