The pilot name came from the announcement e-mail sent by PGI, and the affiliation came from the game files (courtesy of yourself).

There are also some interesting things, like the descriptions os the hero mechs.
Firebrand: The personal Mech of "Devil" Donald Vincent. (as predicted in this thread some time ago)
Misery: Colonel J. Elliot Jamison's personal Stalker.
Dragon Slayer: Ardan Sortek's personal Victor.
X-5: Gibson Federated BattleMechs’ X-5 Cicada prototype.

Also, if anyone has any verifiable information/"lore" regarding the pilots of either Golden Boy or Oxide, or of some affiliation for Leigh Voss and Jester, do please share!

Looks like there are invented by PGI.

So were Muromets, the twin Dragons, and a few others.
What I'm asking about is actual in-universe pilot names and affiliations - "Who is the in-universe MechWarrior at Golden Boy's helm, and for whom does (s)he fight?", "To whom does Leigh Voss owe her allegiance?", and so on.

I don't think it exists. The lore belongs to the first person who can write it under the fan fiction section.

Despite being "from" Draconis Combine, I've always hated the Inner Sphere names for Clan Mechs

Please satisfy my curiosity: Where are you getting the info on what emblems are available for which chassis? Are they really that limited in that for example only Thunderbolts can have the Genyosha emblem? Thanks!

I agree. I was always under the impression that though all Clans have access to all or almost all Clan chassis that in the 3060 era each Clan still traditionally pilots certain mechs in favor of others.
Jade Falcon warriors normally piloting Summoners, Hellbringers, and Kit Foxes; Ghost Bears in Firemoths, Executioners, Grizzlies, and Kodiaks; Clan Wolf favoring Timber Wolves and Dire Wolves, for example.

It's not a matter of "what emblems are available for which chassis", but which emblems/insignia/paint-schemes are being displayed on the official concept art for each chassis.
Take, for example, the Centurion.
The (MWO-stylized) emblem of the 39th Avalon Hussars is rather prominently displayed on the right thigh of the pictured 'Mech, and the overall paint-scheme of this particular Centurion matches the unit's colors ("The Thirty-ninth uses a light gray base coat with blue and gold highlights."); this is not to say that the 39th's emblem and/or colors are available only to the Centurion, but that the particular Centurion shown in the concept art shows those affiliation markings.
As an aside, does anyone have links to the original concept art for the Phoenix 'Mechs (that is, not the black/orange/beige PP colors) and/or the original concept art for the Clan 'Mechs (that is, not the orange/gray/green Clan Pack colors)?
