Picking only Davion factioned mechs, what is your ideal lance?

Do you favor the light mechs with a scout lance? Or, maybe you show your love of maneuver warfare with a medium lance. Perhaps you like doing heavy damage, or making sure your foes feel the pain of your assault.

Regardless, show your Davion pride and post your favorite lance.

something with Uziels because i effing love those, especially the ppc versions. Bushwackers are good if they are paired with other bushwackers. But ultimately, we'll need a templar which isnt introduced yet

Well, given the lack of context (not complaining, just saying it is necessary to adjust for not knowing what I might run into), I figure a jack-of-all-trades lance is the best move - a group that can do anything competently, but nothing amazingly. I figure one 'Mech from each weight class, with a variety of ranges and roles represented. I also want everything to have at least enough energy weaponry to defend itself, in case of ammunition shortages.
So, using 'Mechs entirely from Sarna's list of Federated Suns BattleMechs, here is my ideal lance:

Light: I'd prefer to have a recon/fast strike 'Mech here - those are the two jobs lights have always been most suited to. The rather distinct lack of BAP-equipped Davion 'Mechs complicates things, but I rather like the Spector for this slot.
Medium: I prefer my mediums to be all-around workhorses - essentially, I take the do-anything requirements I have for this lance, and apply them to a single 'Mech. Thankfully, there are quite a few Davion mediums that do that job quite well. Out of those, I prefer the Sentry.
Heavy: So far, my lance is geared primarily towards short- to mid-range combat; I need some long-range firepower. I thought about the JagerMech III, but it just doesn't quite have enough firepower at range - and it has no indirect-fire capabilities. Instead, I'd go with the Argus -2D (That BAP also helped make it my choice - it's always nice to have that extra sensor capability)
Assault: I've got two 'Mechs that are decent at any range, and one that specializes in sniping. I need a brawler, and I can't think of a better (or more badass) choice than the Sagittaire

2x Sagittaires
2x Templar/Config. C's

Sure, this lance won't be available for many years, but my friend and I generally play FedCom Civil War anyway. Sure, its an assault lance, but the Templars are reasonably fast, and this lance can handle almost anything at range. With so many energy weapons the lance can operate for long periods of time without resupply. Also, everything's got jump jets, making the entire lance suprisingly manueverable.

DVS-2 Devastator

MAD-2R Marauder

BSW-S2 Bushwacker

FLC-8R Falconer

I have to admit that all my favorites are post-Clan invasion/pre-Jihad. In any event, though, I try to use 'Mechs that have good ballistic weaponry but have a low reliance on them. This lance has a good speed average, with the Devastator being the only really slow one but with enough range to be a threat to anyone. Meanwhile, the other three are spreading out and likewise dealing long-to-mid-range damage. Good armor values and strong (but not redundant) ballistics help ensure longevity.

Since we're starting in 3049, gonna stick to that in terms of my choices:

AXM-2N: Lance leader
AXM-1N
HCT-3F or 5S x2

Put me in a city where collateral damage is not an issue and go have a Coke, I got this....

Any Lance sporting a Atlas with 2 ultra AC 20 and 3 M pulse lasers. Add a city to the fight, and you don't have much of a chance 20 pont double shots 80 points a hit not much lasts long. Granted you run out of ammo fast so you need that 4/6 walk/run speed to run away.

Just remove the arms and the cannons fit. You do need to put one laser in your head due to space issues but its so fun better than double gauss rifles.

Its the true Atlas the way it needs to be played.

Thanks

CES-3R Caesar
DV-7D Dervish
ENF-5D Enforcer (Replace with END-6J Enfield when available)
BJ-2 Blackjack

Designed it awhile ago as a Company Command Lance, and it's fairly vicious. Good punch at range while being able to shred just about anything that tries to get close and keep fairly mobile.

Hey, wait, isn't that what the FRR is going to look like in a few years time?
