Hello,
Another effort to cut down on some of the new player bewilderment posts, can new player registration auto-generate a PM to that player that says welcome, and lists (similar to the New Player Start Here thread) useful information for them?
The PM popup might catch their attention, and cut down on a lot of questions already answered.
Just a thought.

I'm not sure if PM notifications are even turned on by default, though...
