I'm not sure if this has been discussed already but I was curious if anyone knew about what kind of fire support assets would be in the game (artillery, air strikes, orbital strikes, nuclear strikes?) I was thinking the scout mechs could act as forward observers to direct fire support and have special recon abilities like UAVs or enhanced optics like a sniper would have on the battle field

In the Dev blogs (maybe Q&As) they stated Artillery stikes, naval artillery strikes, and fighter strafes. These are all command abilities. Also there will be UAV and satallite sweeps, also command abilities.
ED: Also scouts will act as spotters, they have abilities that increase sensor range/spotting and secondary sensing methods (thermo/magneto)

Hopefully scouts will be able to equip narc beacons and other gadgets as well. UAVs and thermal scopes are all well and good, but nothing is as satisfying as tagging an Atlas and running like hell as your lance mates dump LRMs on him.

What I'm hoping for is a way to guide LRMs to their targets over obstructions, or at least extend their max range, not unlike a NARC beacon, but with tech compensating for hills or other cover in the way.

LRMs detonate when they reach their maximum range. I agree it would be nice to be able to paint targets with a scout mech. But I have a feeling it will have to be with something like a tag laser or a narc, you won't be able to share your personal missile lock with your team. Almost positive the devs have said that.

One of the dev Q and A's stated that you could fire LRM's at another mech's target without line of sight.

I could be wrong.
