Apparently FD is the only Battletech artist that knows how many damn missile ports to put on a mech. XD

Yeah, I don't like the Awesome that much...

I belive it's going to be a slower paced game. Example:
Move 'Mechs
Got to work
"Your turn"
Shoot 'Mechs
Work some
"End Phase"
Watch video
"You won iniative"
Work some more
"Your turn"
Move
etc., etc.

The devs have already explained that this is not to be the case. You'll plan out the entirety of your turn in a "double blind" system, as they call it. Once you and your opponent have locked in your turns, it plays them out in that cinematic thing.

Regarding the OP, I kinda like how the mechs in MW:T look like toys. MW:O is going to have all the serious art, so there's no need to copy+paste on to MW:T. But I will agree, that hunchback looks pretty bad.

Edit: Grammar, Spelling

it looks nice but its hard to make new mechs and not have them look like transformers

Funny you should say that...I was just sitting here thinking they look like a cross between Transformers and Armored Core (the older ones, before things got weird and crazy). They look nice, just...somewhat out of place for BTech. Won't stop me from trying/playing/enjoying the game if it's good, though.

Woah, woah! Really? That's great! That was the one thing that always felt unnatural with the TT for me. I think my interest has just been doubled.

I think that can even get me over the less than desirable art choices for the project. Some of them look fine, but others are just awful... It's pretty hit or miss with that game.

EDIT: I wish Alex were working with MW:T as well. I swear, that guy does everything right. :o

I've looked at the OTHER mechwarrior game that is coming out this year, and I have to say that I actually like their artwork for what a Grasshopper should look like.

Makes me hopeful on what Flying Debris can do with the design, but I think there is nothing wrong with this Grasshopper as it is.

Maybe we can get the two companies to share artists?

Sure you can have one.. Just go over there and play it..

You can play TT with double-blind rules; you can even do this in MegaMek. You might want to give the latter a try sometime, since it's free...and even moreso, because it does all the mathing for you. That, to me, is the best thing about Megamek, lol. I always end up forgetting some modifier or another.
