Unless they have said otherwise, I would think they were going with the same payment scheme as world of tanks? You CAN buy some mechs right out, but they aren't as good as the ones you earn. You could also buy (kinda like a subscription) XP bonuses or maybe money bonuses?

Is that a Steam symbol on the "Awesome?"

I see it, it's a flexing arm. It's simply supposed to be a muscley arm, not the Steam symbol.

I'm not a HUGE fan of Steam but it wouldn't bother me to see stuff like this there either as I have no problems with it. It works and I play stuff through it...I didn't get HL2 Ep3 out of the deal but you know...
The ones you can buy should be the exact same ones you can earn, buying them would just be the shortcut. Tribes does this as unlocking things via free xp takes awhile. Still fun though so I don't see why this would be much different but I'm not sure if they've specified this or not entirely.

As long as they are really careful about the "buying power" thing. Which they did say they want to avoid.

i don't know, it somehow reminds me of terran dominion

wait... in alternate of alternate universe, house marick is terran dominion?
even the dominion marine corps looks like Free Worlds League
