Despite the fact that NOT knowing perfect 20th century history is much more canon correct than knowing it would be. And I don't think 1000 years from now, the Space Mongols and Space Samurais care as much about WWII as they do about those Space Yankees (House Davion) and Krauts (Steiner).
Also, Max Liao had tried to get a Pan-Asian Alliance together before this point in time.
