I'm a newb here but am a huge Mechwarrior fan from the past. I was approved for the closed Beta but am having issues. Keep getting the following message:
"Unsupported video card detected! Continuing to run might lead to unexpected results or crashes. Please check the manual for further information on hardware requirements.
Intel® G33/G31 Express Chipset Family. [vendor id=0x8086, device id=0x29c2]"
I am by no means a technical guy when it comes to equipment/software but loved the game and look forward to playing again. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Integrated graphics? That's not a good sign, you'll need a real graphics processing unit. (GPU)

Ya I agree with Takeo man you need to see if you have any pci express slots open, if you do get a video card from tigerdirect or if you are in a big hurry best buy has a few that could run it pretty easily and dont cost an arm and a leg.

Just remember you will need to see how strong your power supply is, you may need to upgrade that also. the HD7750 is the only mainstream card that does not require any additional power.
ASUS HD7750-1GD5-V2 Radeon HD 7750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card for $108 US.
Judging from the chipset you have, you may want to also start (you need a discrete video card first, then see how your performance goes from there) thinking about upgrading your processor/mb/ram if you do not have a core 2 quad processor. I believe that the card is PCIe 1.1 compatible, but it was made for PCIe 2-3. (I know it works in PCIe 2 I have the 7770 in an old computer.)

Random Question for you. What kind of computer are you using? I am using an Alienware M11x, and I have two graphics cards. One is an integrated card, for low power stuff, and the other is a high powered Nvidia card designed for games and the like. The computer is suposed to automatically switch between both as needed, but sometimes is doesn't. I got the same error as you and found that my computer was trying to run the game with the integrated card. When I manually forced it to use the Nvidia card, my problem disapeared. Maybe this is your problem?
