Would be interesting to see the devs favourite houses. So far there seems to be quite a few traditional Liao mechs which is great to see!
With the catapult, raven and cataphract in game so far, I hope liao will get more love!

Your forum title is ubiquitous, and vague. Though I understand and agree with your statement.

Garth - FRR
Paul (he asked for Catapult), Randal Bills (the lore guy) - Kurita
Flying Debris - EDIT: Ok, he's a merc.

Also, teh majority of people working there are Kuritans, followed by Marik.

You can find such information in the older interviews.

I'd like to see the Vindicator make an appearance. It'd make the perfect companion for Community Warfare, every Mechwarrior and their Mum can afford the dirt cheap Vindicator in Capellan Space! There's also the mention in the books about it's special ability to suck up natural water sources as disposable coolant for it's PPC...

Really? Can you give the source to confirm it? :(

And yes, I would like to see Vindicator in this game too. Either introduced after Highlander or later. The Vindicator is a general-purpose, jack-of-all-trades mech, and it serves as the backbone of the CCAF. Though weak in firepower, but it is very flexible in performing any kind of roles in the battlefield.

PPC = long-range direct fire support/sniping, yet the only weapon with a strong firepower the Vindicator can afford
LRM 5 = long-range indirect fire support
ML and SL = close-in engagement
9 ton of armor = decent durability for a medium mech, as least it is slightly more durable than Centurion's
Standard Engine 180 = provide top speed of 64.8 km/h, a fair speed for a medium mech
Jump-jet = provide a greater degree of maneuverability

Overall, this mech is just as good in all aspects and attributes, neither better nor worse for a medium mech. Thus, this is an ideal mech for a cannon fodders, as well as an ideal mech for co-op gameplay like Community Warfare when a Vindicators are played in numbers, due to the fact that it is designed to maximize the effectiveness of the Confederation's production capabilities, and thus the Vindicator is quite expendable in a large number.

PS: By the way, aside Raven, Catapult, Vindicator and Cataphract, there are other mechs serving the Capellan too. They are Flea, Jagermech, Atlas, Awesome, Stalker and Highlander. But I'm not sure if there are Hunchbacks and Centurions serve the Capellan or not.

The PPC cooling?

"The Smasher PPC is a standard weapon, but the cooling jacket that surrounds it deserves note. The jacket possesses water intakes mounted around the forward end. By dipping the end of the barrel in a lake, river, or pool, the intakes draw up the water to cool the hot innards of the PPC. The resulting steam exits via a nozzle at the other end. However, it is often dangerous for the 'Mech to kneel motionless for ten seconds while drawing water. Therefore, engineers placed three additional heat sinks on the Vindicator."

Also, it is worth noting Vindy has the same missile doors like the Centurion, with the difference being we only have one of them, like on the Catapult and not 5 with one door covering 2 missile holes.

As for the mechs you listed, yes, they are in our millitary too, but only through salvage or market. The Capellan do not have any way of producing them.

I made the list of every mech we can produce in this era on the MW:O wiki, if you're interested (yes, I did a few mistakes regarding unseens, but I still have a mishmash of what is allowed and what not, so I only included the surely unseen ones into the unseen category). http://mwowiki.org/w...n_Confederation

Interesting feature of that PPC, awesome! Hopefully the devs will pay attention to this one. And thanks for the link, but I couldn't access into it, sorry. ;) Any ways to overcome that problem? I saw that 403 - Forbidden page when I entered.

By the way, the Flea is an exception though. Cause the Maskirovka agents managed to acquire the blueprint during the raid, and thus made the Flea production in the Capellan possible.

PS: As for Jagermech and Highlander, they were mostly likely purchased from markets. As for Atlas, Awesome and Stalker, they either being kept for centuries, or through salvaging. This is just my guess. Though the Capellans have the least number of assault mechs in their arsenals.

PSS: Oh wait- the planet Corey that has a plant producing Highlanders was used to be Capellan's. And it was fallen to the hands of Fed-Sun after the Fourth Succession War.

I highly doubt Highlanders could be bought at this time. Especially considering the fact they are using lostech.
Only the highest ranks of the each millitary could ever hope of piloting one.

As for the page:
Spoiler

Thanks for the heads-up. :P

Though the Highlanders the Capellan have are mostly the downgraded version of the Star League-era Highlander; both Draconis and Lyran too have such version of Highlanders, except that the Combine managed to purchase a few Star League-era Highlanders from ComStar. Speaking of "only the highest ranks of each military could hope of piloting one", yes it does make sense. Since the HGN-732 is virtually extincted in the IS, the plants that build Highlanders produced HGN-733, which is considered 'obsolete' and 'scarce in numbers' in the IS. That's why the Capellans have a very few Highlanders in its military.

Besides, you've forgotten that House Liao, along with House Davion, fielded the largest number of Jagermechs in the IS.

I know you're talking about the Capellan mechs we can locally-produced by this time, but for this one, I'm referring to what non-Capellan mechs that we Capellans fielded in our military. I may take back what I said if I'm gibbering something that's 'misleading' to this thread.

Thanks for that, i should of looked further back than i did.

It will be interesting to see if we will get any RP heavy groups that will be willing to run faction style mechs when it comes to community warfar. eg Liao group made of ravens, catapults cataphracts vs a FC group of centurions, commandos, atlas etc.

Hardly. Fed Rats and their mechs suck so much every-single-one of them has wet dreams about soem Capellan mech. I pity those fools.
