In this newest patch, I have been kicked off 4 matches in a row (all 4 I have tried to play since the patch was introduced). Is anyone else experiencing this issue???

Thanks,
Paul

  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
Performance is fine, except for Tourmaline. I only got a actual battle drop in it once and after only about 2 minutes into the game, ti completely locked up. I could not even alt-tab out, had to restart my whole computer.
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
See question 1.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Settings on max, never changed. Resolution is 1920X1080, anti-aliasing off.
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
I have VSync on, they stay in a constant 55-65 FPS as of last week. Prior to that, I had VSync off and my FPS was usually around 90.
  • System specs
AMD Radeon HD 7950 GPU, Intel i5-3570k CPU, 32Gb Ram
  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location
2Mbps, Rural Texas

Edit to Add: I walked around Tourmaline for nearly half an hour in Training Mode last night with no crash. It only happens when in a 'live' battle, usually within the first five minutes.

How had the patch generally affected your performance?

-Decrease in FPS

Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.

-River City is most noticeably but all maps effected

What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?

-All Low except: Object Detail Med., Texture Detail Very High.
-Did not change since alpine came out.

Average FPS in game and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)

-Before patch: ~30 In menus and Some parts of maps, ~20 in game dropping to a min of ~15
-After patch: ~28 In menus and Some parts of maps, ~15-20 in game dropping to a min of ~5-8
-After patch some parts of the maps become unplayable as the frame rate drops so low that trying to shoot enemies with anything but lasers/SSRMs is impossible. (Its like shooting in slo-mo while the targets jump around.

System specs (You can include them in a [spoiler] [ /spoiler])

-Intel Core i3 330M
-4GB Ram
-ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB
-Resolution 1366x768 (or 1600x900 if using my desktop screen)

Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location

-50MBs Download/ 30MBs Upload
-Canada

Other notes

I have been using these settings since the Alpine Peaks patch (Increased Object Detail to increase draw distance) everything else has been the same since the start of open beta. These setting have worked great at both resolutions up until today's patch. The frame rate drops seem to be associated with locations on the maps (haven't identified a pattern yet though) as the frame rate drops do not seem to always occur during heavy fire but sometimes when nothing is going on. (no mechs on screen) I move my mech 200-300 meters and the frame rates return to normal. (even if it happens in a firefight I move my mech a few hundred meters and the rates return to normal even though the firefight is still in full swing)

I've had consistently good connectivity and ping since time immemorial, and no change with this patch on that front.

My frame rates feel like they went up with this patch, but they have been quite good for the last few patches. It's buttery smooth with everything on "high" settings (not "very high") on a single monitor (like some sort of barbarian). System spec:

8GB memory, Intel i7 CPU 2.9 GHz, 2x EVGA Geforce GTX 660

Once again, I appreciate the graphical improvements, and once again I'm going to gripe that there's no sign of SLI support. It gets kind of hard to drive this game on three monitors with only one card working. I'm sure your hearts bleed for me and the two other people with this problem. I'll stop complaining now.

  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
Yes. Major performance hit.
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
No, it seems to be every 15-30 seconds my FPS will drop from 40 to 15 for no discernible reason. It happens in and out of combat, regardless of my facing, and without warning or reason.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
They were on very high last patch. Dropped them down to high to try and fix it this patch, but to no effect.
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
60 FPS in the menus. 40 in game for both the previous patch and this patch. The problem is that my steady 40 will drop down to 15 without warning and for no discernible reason every 15-30 seconds
  • System specs (You can include them in a [spoiler] [ /spoiler])
Intel i7 3610QN @ 2.3 GHz

nVidia GeForce GTX 675M
8GB DDR3 RAM
64 bit Windows 7 Professional
240 GB SSD
  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location
Varies, as I play on a laptop in several locations, but I can play other multiplayer games with a smooth framerate. This is definitely a graphical issue.

EDIT: Dropped my settings down to low. Framerate raised to 60 FPS, but still drops to 20 FPS in much the same way as above. Control lag is also present. It's bizzaro.

I don't usually have any issues with connectivity or anything like that, but what exactly is FPS and what is a good number for it, I have never seen mine out of the red and thought that was just the color it was.

I have randomly encountered the getting kicked thing, but generally I only get that when the phone lines are busy, I use my cellphone to create a wifihotspot (not sure about the specs) oddly I play a few MMOs with this connection and this is the only one that has issues, I was surprised that it runs as well as it does.

It has happened more on tourmaline since the patch, but still only *usually* occurs during my peak times... I so cannot wait for my 12mbps net access......

As to ping, I have seen and had my own ping in excess of 2k at times, I think I may have taken screenshots, but wouldn't have known where they went to, or I would send them in... those ping rates are a guarantee of getting yourself logged/kicked from a sortie

Edit: OK so I just logged OUT of the game and it froze... never had that happen before

Since the patch I have been constantly dumped from matches back to the mech lab. I have around 40ms ping. the map or mech doesn't matter. It will just randomly and unceremoniously dump me from the match. There is no lag preceding the dump.

After the missile hotfix patch, I was able to play 1 match, and then I the client crashed on exiting the match (black screen instead of the front-end window).

Since then my client would not start up properly. The startup sequence appears to be happening extremely slowly (i.e. the PGI intro video runs at ~1fps), then the client dies.

*edit* After PC restart, I have the startup problems have not recurred, but I continue to have crashes/black screen after matches complete. It has happened probably 3 out of 6 or so matches tonight.

Havent noticed a change in this regard.
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
See bottom of post.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Set to pretty well max everything. my PC doesnt appear to mind, I see no effect from various changes to graphics or resolution.
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
Havent looked. easily acceptable, once in a while just a smidge choppy but only for an instant.
  • System specs (You can include them in a [spoiler] [ /spoiler])
Core I7 2.9, boatload of high frequency RAM, single Nvidea 275 card.
  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location
Ug. WI, in a tiny pinhead owned in a monopoly by Frontier Comm. Advertised: 3MB/sec download, 128k upload(yeah I know LOL whut?) Actual yis like half that. Ping: sometimes like 75, but usually over 100, closer to 125. During any time of peak hours, or hours around peak hours, Ping=250-450. Sometimes it fluctuates from 100-450 all over at any time in the same match. Creates some interesting aiming issues.

As from above, Starting about a month ago or so, I have a bug where my PC locks, goes black screen for an instant, and then tells me in a little pop up window "Graphics driver temporarily stopped and has recovered". I get this in mechlab sometimes, and in game usually. Normally at some really, really bad timing, like as I am moving out to snipe a foe. when "recovered", I find I am standing there getting pulverized lol.
Now, this may be game related, as MWO is the only application to cause this bahavior. I do not get it from any other game or other program. It may also be related to my PC, perhaps a bad segment on my HD or something I am not aware of. My gut feeling is there is some kind of memory allocation error going on, memory leak in game or bad disc or something causing my graphics card to go batty trying to use shared memory or something.

hope this helps.

I downloaded the patch about an hour ago and since have not been able to connect at all. AMD-FX 8120 3.1GHZ 8GB GTX 660 1 TB SATA 3 Also my internet is always stable @ 60 ms. I have now uninstalled and reinstalled the game and now cannot get even the patcher to launch. Any advice would be great, going to attempt to update all drivers, which should already be done.

After March 21 Hotfix I experience constant microlags and flashbacks (mech returned at its position 1-2 seconds ago, even disconnections at times. My connection is stable, no ISP issues, so I insist that something wrong is going on server side. Please check it.

Edit: just recently noticed, that on same video settings FPS framerate has decreased from ~51fps to ~39fps after 1.2.204.

Horrible. FPS Goin down from 30-50 to 4-19fps making the game unplayable in critical situations. My fps drop until i get to the point where i am not able to do/see something for seconds.
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Seems that this happens when enemy mechs show up. I dont have to see them. They can also be spotted by anyone of my team. Also it seems to happen sometimes on torso turns at the beginning of the round.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
I got everything on low, except textures (high) and object detail ( high )
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
30-55 FPS ingame previous patch | 4-55 FPS ingame latest patch
55 FPS menu previous patch | 55 FPS menu latest patch

btw Thermal costs me 10 FPS and in upper city on River City it makes my game unplayable - even when i just aim there from far away
