So I read the sticky thread that says that 'Remember Me' doesn't allow closing all MWO tabs to remember the user. I'd like to know if there's a way to make that possible. If it's not, I'd like to know why the behavior is not allowed, even if the user sets it through the User Control Panel. Currently, every time I sign into MechWarrior Online's forum and want to reply to a thread, I have to login and that forces me to go through the main page after logging in. I then have to press Backspace and Refresh to go back to the thread I'd like to reply to. It's not practical for me since I usually log in on a private computer. And when I'm using a public computer, I always browse privately. If there's a known solution, I'd really appreciate the instructions.
How to Make Log-Ins Work Even After Closing Browser

I have noticed this behaviour as well.
Login to forums.
Be brought to main forums page instead of page I was browsing.
Have to go back to page I was browsing.
I'm used to these kinds of website oddities because I've got adblock and noscript. But if someone else is having same issues, maybe it's the site!

The very nature of Private Browsing causes issues with logins.
Though MWOMercs has chosen not to read from stored cookies on your computer for login information, Private Browsing does not allow the setting of cookies on your machine at all. Since the web is stateless, every single request you make to the site is actually seen as a completely different person (it has no way of knowing who you are since the site cannot put a cookie on your browser and see you're the same person)
You also need to be very careful when using a browser's BACK button to navigate (which has issues especially on pages that POST data to the website, like login pages) and instead, should look to perform GET-based requests which can be achieved by always clicking links on the present page to get to where you want to go. The POST bug can occur when you press REFRESH on a page that previously submitted data to the page.

I believe you may have misread my post. I understand what private browsing does, and I understand how going back one page works. What I'm saying is that even though I log into my account during normal browsing and click 'Remember Me', I am not able to have the site remember my information after closing the browser. I have tried both on Chrome and Firefox, so it must be the site's default behavior. I've also read the Sticky Thread that mentions what the 'Remember Me' button actually do.
What I'd like is to know if there's a way to change the default choice of automatically being logged out every time I close my browser. If not, I'd like to know why such a setting is not implemented because the inconvenience of having to log back in and going back from the front page gets annoying after awhile. If such a function cannot be implemented, at least make it so that when the user logs in, the user would start back at the page he or she last visited instead of redirecting to the front page. That would make it a bit less tedious. Any information regarding this topic would be welcomed.
