But for the last time Open beta is NOT game launch. It is the next stage in beta testing. I've worked in games industry and know a lot of people still in it. This is not launch.

Edit: haha, didn't realize they did updates on the weekend. You guys rule. I'm really glad your changing the mech lab so we can change the tabs w/o having to save. That was giving me a headache.
Also, can we get it so once we buy one of the upgrades (DHS, FF Armor), we don't have to pay soooo much (or anything) to go back and forth between them? I bought the upgrade, why must I keep buying it when I switch? It's not like I threw it away or sold it. My garage is big enough to hold both kinds

We can now spend our XP, CBills and MC with a purpose. Its been a great time testing, experimenting and tweeking. But I'm more than ready to build my mech trees.

easy targets such as yourself?

on a more serious note, I am going to be working overtime as my teams pug communicator to get new players up to speed since the 4 person cap is coming up at the same time, least that is what rumor says.

I'd feel better if the devs released more map variations and at least another game type for open beta. Map variation would keep the gameplay fresh on account of always needing to adapt to new terrain rather than subconsciously memorizing it and having that "this feels repetitive" feeling. I hope that the publisher will think about implementing randomly generated worlds so exploration and communication is less about which "line" an enemy team is taking, and more about choices on what terrain will be more tactically favorable. High ground, low ground, bottlenecks and ravines, hostile terrain...night and day...have all of it thrown into a randomly generated soup.
mech warrior would be the ultimate experience if the focus on game development was for exceptional map variation.

I do wish there were more maps and mechs but will just look at the open beta as money making but still testing time. I will try stay patient for the cool stuff they have promised.
I am not worried as much since my time will not start until I hit the button.
