There is alot of debate over pugs getting hammered by premades and what not and the temp solution seems to be to limit premades to upto 4 or exactly 8.

Why not set up a lobby system where pugs can choose to play with the other premades or join a mercenary type lobby where only single players can join.

That way premades can continue their thing and pugs that want to stay out of the way of other premades can play with a pure pug lobby. If a pug wants to lone wolf it with premades he can at his own risk.

I know this idea still has flaws like what if a 3 and a 4 premade end up on the same team and cant find a pug to fill the gap but im not a dev and dont have all the knowledge with how match making works.

Ive seen plenty of systems like this work for fps titles. Most players tend to play with premades for the difficulty it imposes. (not all premades are working in tactical harmony)

Maybe you already have plans for this, maybe you have a better plan in mind for a future patch. Time will tell.

I llike the Idea u posted.

Personaly i dont want to play in premade Teams, being forced to use Ts or something else. I only want to conect, play a bit around and have Fun. But atm i mostly get stoped, Battles are too fast over this way and far away fom being fair. Imho.

Have either of you even tried to get into a vocie-chat pre made? Ya'll make it sound like some grand clan gathering that requires massive time commitments..
Here's what it's really like:
boot TeamSpeak
log onto unofficial beta server
enter the channel Looking for Group
wait maybe 5 minutes for an invite to a random drop group
enter their channel
send an in game friend invite to the group lead
receive in game group invite
Ready up
play for as long as you want.

It's just to cater to the lone wolf crowd who don't want to team up or can't handle the duress of socialising.

Especially with family/ spouses who are tired and don't want to hear to much chatter/noise. There's nothing wrong with getting onto teamspeak but there are people who just don't want to.

A proper matchmaking system is in the works and hopefully will come soon.

There will be a lobby system. There will most likely also be on-launch auto-join voice chat over C3. There may be an option in the Matchmaking system to only play with other solo players.

At present there is a functioning lobby/comm system in place - using TS/Vent/C3 as a lobby to join premades. Not IDEAL, but functioning.
Since the priority for the Devs at present is getting as many matches and metrics tested as possible to gain data on where the system really needs work, segregating the player base defeats that purpose, and actually makes you a greater target for griefers looking to roflstomp puggers.

If PGI did separate the player types, the only way they could do so would be by players choosing a solo-only queue, vs being a solo player willing to comm and launch with premades. This could be easily farmed by players willing to communicate in game after launch. The only advantage 'premades' have over 'puggers' is communication. If I were a griefer and knew I could join a match queue populated by non-communicating targets.. er.. puggers.. and could pwn them all by teaming with at least 2 other players.. I'd launch solo just for the possibility that somoene else like me that will communicate will be in there and we can farm ya'll. All it would take is being in voice chat with a bunch of teammates, but not in an in-game team.. and all launching at the same time.. Boom, un-grouped premade in your solo queue, totally legit. And there goes your precious solo-only queue.

You really want to help make this game a success? Stop worrying about whether you have a fair battlefield when improvements have been slated for being patched in, and start working with newer players to help them understand how to play.. You know, by communicating with them.

The more noobs you help train today, the more targets you'll have later. The more you complain about getting pwnd because you want to play a team-based game solo, the fewer players you'll have in your solo-only queues later on, and the bigger a target you paint on yourself.
