First new Player does not mean newbe. New player is just that someone who has not been playing THIS game since closed beta opened (lol sounds funny to me) since players were allowed in.

The first thing you need to learn is 1 < 8. Yes simple math..
If you are in a group (pug or premade) and you target someone else other than what everyone else is targeting you just became 1 v 8. That might be good odds for winning the Superbowl but Vegas will not take them in this game.

The second thing, communication. If you are not on some type of communication with your team mates, I do not want to hear your crying about premades. The game provides you communication, Teamspeak provides you communication, Vent provides you communication so there is no excuses. Get on comms if you want to win consistently.

Third and this is why I play.. make friends. Dropping with people you know makes this game so much better IMHO. Not only are you having a good time BSing between drops but when your in a drop you know you can count one your team mates. I can not tell you how many times I dropped without team mates just to see someone run off to do there own thing because they think they can kill 2-3 solo. this is a TEAM play game.. Get it like you got milk.

Last... Know your style of play and the mechs/weapons and adapt your mech to it. Each mech has a strength and weakness. Learn how to take your mech and configure it to best suit you. In time you can branch out and get better at different styles.

I promise you if you follow these simple guides not only will you win more often but you will have more fun. And isn't that what the game is about?
