So far, it's an average game. the actual fighting is great, but nearly everything else needs serious improvement. These are some additions/changes that I, and I hope others, would like to see in the future.
1: Bare-bone Mechs. I'd like to be able to purchase my mech, one piece at a time. Being forced to purchase a mech with a mediocre engine and below average weapons is quite a hassle, and a sink for all my hard-earned C-bills.
2: The cost of repairs is too damn high! Without Premium and/or a Wang, It's always going to be an uphill battle. If you don't win, you will probably be losing money(depending on how dead you were). If you do win, you'll manage to get at most 50k, which is less than using a trial mech. Repairs should be cut down to at least 1/3rd of what it is now.
3. General clunkiness of the UI. If I want to play with a friend, I have to: go to group, create group, click OK, go to friends, right click friend, click invite to group, wait for both to ready up, click group options, then launch group. That is way too many steps. I should just be able to click on the name and add to group. Also, when in a group, there should still be a launch button next to the ready/not ready button. Not to mention how cluttered and difficult it is to use the chat(Yes, there's a chat. Took me a few weeks to find that out).

I pretty much agree on this. While the difference in winning/lossing is only 25k, what astonishes me is that you get the same amount for doing miniscule actions(spotting, 1 point of damage assist) than you do major ones (actually killing, or doing 99% of the damage). Players should be rewarded more for game changing plays.

"Like the Idea, it would be nice to buy a bare bones mech, Particularly if it told you where the hard points are on the mech."
Before the wipe, I had saved up everything I hadfor the Dragon-5N, because it had 3 Ballistic slots (the most at the time, and I thought ACs were cool). Shortly after I bought it, I found out that all three slots were on the same arm(and it couldn't even fit an AC/20). Knowing where the hardpoints are makes the decision making much easier, especially when making the first step to your first mech.

While spotting helps show where an enemy is, you are limited to say how many. Adding a ping or a marker to the map would greatly help teammates know where the enemy is coming from.
