Goons are cool with Aces, so I ask this as a cool goon. What's with the canon name?
Excellent question, you see it all started on a rainy day in 3028...
In all seriousness though, the name is actually from one of my first battletech RPG characters. Cattra has always been my online handle since I was 7 years old and started to play WCII:Battlenet. The canon surname comes a bit later when I started getting into the battletech universe. I was stuck for a surname when creating my character and decided to go with Kell, but trying not to Gary Stu myself I thought "hey, with a universe as large as the Inner Sphere, there would have to be Kell's around that were not part of the main Kell family" kind of like how there are family's today who share last names but are not close relative (they might be but way down the line). So it was just a canon name but with little to no connection to the actual Kell family. It just sort of stuck with me and as such I have used it for battletech related things.
So to sum it up, young and stupid things that stick with you for no real good reason.
Also apologies to the goons if I overstepped boundaries here by answering the question.
Also, I may be a bit tsundere for goons...
Anders, thanks for the reply, I can finally return to my sleep pattern.
