Paypal can get funky when international payments are concerned, and I know a few years ago (ok like 5) they had a nasty habit of holding your assets when someone made a claim against you.

That would suck for MW:O, I'm sure they're a better about it now, but the micro-transaction model might not be the best for PayPal since they have a per transaction fee.

Either way (Credit Card or PP) I'm good.

$1 store item costs PGI $0.33 (33% loss)
$2 store item costs PGI $0.36 (18% loss)
$5 store item costs PGI $0.45 (9% loss)
$10 store item costs PGI $0.59 (6% loss)

This is why many stores start items around $1.99. Less than that and the transaction fees from Paypal take a large cut.

The times are whatever I say they are my friend. At least in my world.

Credit Cards are evil. When you were married to a woman who managed to rack up more debt than the GDP of some small countries you learn that paying 18% interest to some Mr. Burns type person at a bank is not fun. I live a very cash in hand lifestyle and prefer it that way.

I put $20-30 in to my paypal and I leave it at that. In all the years I have dealt with paypal I have never had one problem. If my stuff was hacked then no I would no go back to them until they honored my account. If not then I would seek other means (prepaid credit card most likely).

Then your reasoning is sound. I might add I have had no issues with CC's and the bank that issued me mine, (or Paypal ftm). In the end, it is a choice, we just apparently see them from differing perspectives is all. Neither is more evil than the other when used properly. ^_^

Actually, I think I'd feel even more confident in Google Checkout than Paypal. Paypal has shown itself to be a horrendous company that rips people off and has terrible customer service time and time again - google up some Paypal horror stories sometime.

Google Checkout would be a good thing to integrate and anyone that owns an Android phone probably already has their credit card information in there.

Please explain to me where this thread has 'please express your wish for STEAM' anywhere in the topic?

It does not, and until Steam comes out with it's own currency (probably next year once they start taking over countries), then the post is irrelevant for the thread.

Steam was brought up, and a comment about Steam was mentioned. That's not irrelevant and certainly no reason to have a spaz attack about somebody posting something you're not interested in on the internet.

Yeah - that's just the tip of the iceberg on Paypal. I'd never want to sell anything there. They have some hilariously awful policies that border on completely insane (see if you can find the story about how they refunded a buyer all his money when he made a claim, but required he smash to pieces an antique violin to prove it was destroyed, leaving the seller out of both) to the just plain shady. They're a terrible company that I'd avoid if possible, even though I've had to use them from time to time.

I'm still definitely hoping for Google Checkout on this one; the transaction fee, from what I understand, is much lower too.

It's actually totally irrelevant because the topic of the thread (and the subject of the post) was regarding MW:O having Paypal as a payment option.

Just mentioning Steam is not license to hijack a thread (or tangent PPC it at the very least).

And Victor you consistently push the Pro-Steam agenda on the forums, in the threads it's appropriate I have no issue with that (I just don't agree).

In this thread, however it is not.

The rest of your statements regarding Paypal I am in 100% agreement with.

As Steam can be (if implemented down the road) used for micro purchases the same as Paypal or Google Wallet, I completely disagree on that one. It's another viable method of payment to be added down the road, which is very much related to the topic of the thread.

But yeah, I'm glad we can agree on Paypal. Sometimes they're a necessary evil but they're easily one of the worst companies on the internet.
