Seems like some peeps are having this issue and some aren't (unless maybe the ones that aren't having the problem are using a mouse). At any rate, I have the same issue and it is a deal breaker. My brain looks up when I pull back on the stick and down when I push forward. At my age, I don't know if it would even be physically possible to unlearn doing it that way LOL!
I have try checking and unchecking the invert Y in the options, the same in the Logitech profiler (the profiler is totally ignored for all commands it seems. I did some test mapping on the buttons and those didn't work either). Finally I set the invert access switch in the user.cfg file all to absolutely no affect.
I've tested both with my Logitech Extreme 3d pro and even dug out my old Wingmann Strike Force 3D. They are both logitech but I don't know why that would matter.

Can't agree more.
Invert axis does not work for the joystick...not very helpful :-(

Loved Mechwarrior 4 series, played through all 3 games about 7 times, almost wet myself when I saw how pretty this game looked in the training videos! Without being able to invert the y-axis, the already unwieldy controls leave me lurching around the battlefield, getting lit up while I'm trying to figure out the raw basics of the game. NOT FUN.
There MUST be an options tab hidden somewhere in the game that allows us to remap keys and adjust our mouse controls, right?!?!?!? Hasn't that been standard since before Doom?!?!?!?!? Won't even think about playing again until these options are fixed, let alone spending any real coin on a mech I can't even drive. Pffffft. Please.
How about at least a freaking options tab before advertising the beta? How are you going to draw new people to the game if seasoned veterans of the series are walking away in frustration and disgust?

Most joystick software lets you opt for reconfiguring it to invert the Y-axis. Check you're running the latest drivers for your joystick and see if the settings for it enable you to change the Y-axis.
