Nothing more frustrating to try and sneak up on a lance of Heavies in a Desert or a Jungle with a Flashy Red/Yellow/Blue Paint Job...

The paint shop shouldn't give you any bonus in a battle - pride pilots will always choose their regimental colors - so i expect that a lance of the same unit will have the same colors.
I never thought that I'm puristic but the idea alone that when droped on a Kurita planet as part of a Steiner strike force - some one in my team paint his mech in the colors of the second sword of light ...don't have words for this

Because mercs and lone wolves will be fighting beside the faction players but they will not want to be forced to wear faction colors.
Because mech vanity skins and items will be one of the ways that PGI makes money so why force players to not use the stuff they paid for.
BUT there should be a predrop option for the team leader to force team skins.
Because some matches will be faction vs faction (or mixed) and it simplifies match set ups
Because it allows faction players to fight in their unit's proud colors. (MW4 never allowed for unit skins in Multilpayer until Mektek Pack 3 (iirc) and it was still a pain in the arse.
Forcing players into Red vs Blue suuuuuuuuuuucks. Why even have skins if you cant wear the skin that you like and that people know you and fear you in.

The only thing that might be cool is your lances emblem painted somewhere on the mech.

So many ways to tell targets apart.
1) Radar differentiation (Not Blue Shoot It)
2) Press E To Cycle Only Enemy Targets
3) Big X on your crosshairs whenever its on an ally.
Although for house factions, I actually expect faction players to only be allowed to don faction colours and camos. Thats the price for being in a faction and have access to maybe faction rewards and perks.

No IFF - no green or red dot's on your HUD - and the guys in your team look in the same way the guys in the other team look like? Only option is to wait and see if the other guy is shooting at you.

Very good call there. I would want at least a partial uniform among house units and the such.

1) In a Sim you must use your Head.
2) I will be playing as a Mercenary for Hire. Lone Wolf, no strings attached. Selling my services to the highest bidder (that is if the dev make a cool Merc system).
3) Using the Paint Job of the Enemy for Infiltration is like one of the most Basic Tactics to take your opponent by surprise (anyone ever heard of the "Trojan Horse" ?!?).

Exactly. At least it never brought any problems in the World of Tanks MMO. And everybody on both teams drives tanks from different nationalities and (limited) colors to the battlefields. Why would make any difference in MW:O?
What is the computerized high-tech HUD for anyways? xD
