This looks like some interesting lore to read up on, especially regarding the houses. Link to the lore?

Good place to start. Also read the any Battletech books you can find. I recommend the Warrior Trilogy as a starting point.

I agree with Ooya, I've used Sarna for just about everything and more. It has specs on the hundreds of mechs, vehicles, people; you want it, they got it. They recently moved the fanon to another site i think, so there should only be canonical information. The novels are brilliant pieces of literature.

That's it? I thought there were more than that. Heh, just goes to show how much of a bibliophile I am, although I am not as bad as Yomiko Readman yet.

Sarna. net is a good place to go. If you want to get some of books you can get some of them in paperback or pdf from the battlecorps website. The Warrior trilogy as mentioned above is an excellent trilogy to start with and I promise you it will get you hooked.

A link list compiled by vets of the Battletech Universe.

http://www.battletech.com/downloads-2/
The downloads section of the Battletech Portal, it contains two downloads I like: A sampler of stories from Battlecorps and a guide to the Universe of Battletech/Mechwarrior.

The Battletech Board Game main site is being rebuilt to mesh along with their new branding.

I thought it looked a bit short myself, but every book I have is on the list and quite a few that I don't. That doesn't include the Dark Age books I don't think. Those are okay, but not really the same.

The dark age books weren't really bad but they couldn't compare to the originals.

Yes for the board game itself, but they're also trying to tie this with Mechwarrior Online with their Portal site which I still don't understand why they did it.
Meh.

Start HERE: http://bg.battletech.com/?page_id=23 - a concise history of the Battletech universe on one page. Links on the left for more detailed info. (may still be under construction - Catalyst recently refurbished their website).
