Maybe a noobish question but I didn't seem to find any info on any date for AT or CBT or even OBT... does someone know something about when will tests be starting (or are they in progress atm)?

closed BETA just started or is starting this month(friends and family of the Devs only). Open BETA will be this summer sometime, no definentive date yet.

Based on that info (specifically the date) and the fact that the devs are gong to give us some play time before the clans invade (3050) Its safe to assume that unless they stop time (seems like that would defeat the point of giving us dates on the news flash) the game should progress through the testing stages in the next couple months.

Actually, I don't know if it's "Safe to assume" anything that we read on the front page lore-based news.

This is a great example because the Chippewa is AeroTech, no? And didn't PGI already state they would not be doing any "combined arms" (ie, ground/air units, battle armor, etc.) I think this news is just "filler" to immerse those into the events happening in the world by the time the game launches. I'm not sure it would be safe to think that any Mech/Tech or such that was mentioned necessarily indicates it will be in the final product.
