lot of people here pay money to support the game and use MC or use founders mech. but if you are playing this game without paying a cent for it to support the game, stop crying about how much trial mech sucks. its on yourself to buy the game and support it. this game took money and will need money to run. now.... let the flaming begin

Damn right brother. I have spent total 200 Dollars so far. 100 dollars of it was to get full year of Prem. Other 100 to get lots of mechs and bays.

I did my share of money why cant the freeloaders offer their end of the bargain.

Okay, but only if PGI takes down their F2P Flag first. It has a bunch of holes and burn marks on it anyways.

While I understand what you mean, your words are still quite rude. It creates nothing but more drama... the other other hand, it seems like you are looking and asking for it on propose... *sigh*

Agreed if the devs create a Trial vs Trial solo players matchmaking mode.

ok sure this will work go against every ounce of what the f2p market has established as acceptable. you hook the plp to the game then they give you money it doesn't work the other way around. As for trial mechs sucking they don't. OOOOO "ok i'll finish the sentence" no they don't truely suck in the hands of a experianced piolet but somebody new to the game there not that user friendly. Remember hook them then get paid. Making trial mechs have specialized loadouts that plp would use would help hook the new player giving him a taste of what is to come. As long as all 4 are differant it will work nicely.

I know, that's why I said "I understand". But his words can also come across as "no money? shut up and move on".

Really /? you can't see what you said as being taken as a elitest that has money to burn to somebody in my boat (i'm so broke i can't afford to pay attention) This is f2p so you hook the player to a fun game then suck the money from the pokets not the other way around.

And yet you apppear to have missed it completely.
If you expect new players to have money to spend impromptu in a no-name beta game of a franchise most of them might not have even heard about until recently, you're a fool; all the more considering how little content or substance MWO possesses at this point.

I know its F2P.

You can grind hours in a trial mech to get a decent mech. But hay ITS FREE.

The 8T is actually a pretty good mech. the dual LRM 15 can soften enemies up at long range and you can close and carve chunks off them with the dual large. All the while you can pepper them with the small laser.

But the game is free. I dont expect PGI to offer Handouts to new players. They gotta pay money to get somewhere good.

But hay ITS FREE to pilot a Trial mech.

I haven't spent a dime on the game, but I could afford to spend a lot if I wanted to. It's beta. I don't know if I want to spend real money yet. I'm on the fence and will wait and see. Would you say shut up and go away to that?

I understand the grind and paying my dues. I will f2p this game til I am sure I want to continue. At that point I will make it rain.

i get a feeling not many of you have played in the f2p market that is fine you pay your money you get a good game you play it weeeee fun. But in the "real?" world of f2p gaming if the game doesn't hook the player it doesn't make it most f2p games will let you go a long ways into the game before there is a chance for them to suck the money out of your pockets. Since this game has no content past the 4 maps. Hooking a new person to the game buy giving them a good mech *in trial form or heck even give them one of the light mechs as there own mech right off, would be a really good way to hook the new player to get a better chance they will fork out the money.
