OOC: Solaris RPG

The murky and poorly-described denizens of the OOC Solaris thread glance around them in confusion. One glances at an inkpot quivering with each sound, astounded not so much at the vibrations as the pot’s very existence in this amorphous space.
“Footfalls?” the denizen wonders aloud, “Is that...the plot? Coming here? But...how? Wait, am I wondering?”
With a violent crash, a flame-painted Jenner smashes through the previously unapparent fourth wall. It’s steel feet kick up sparks from the ground it defines by its very presence as it slides to a halt. The hatch opens with a hiss, and a man steps out.
“Greetings, all!” he cries, “I just wanted to announce the occasion of my one thousandth post!”
“Your post?” shouts one of the denizens, perhaps the one looking at the inkpot earlier, “You didn’t post anything! You’re just a character!”
The man on the Jenner looks down at himself, as if seeing himself for the first time. “Well, technically. But I don’t have much of a story yet, so for now I’m serving as his mouthpiece,” he says, pointing to one of the few denizens who haven’t turned around.
Heads throughout the thread turn to look at the pointed-to denizen, still steadfastly typing at a computer.
“Him? But he posted his thousandth post over in the fan art section! This is technically his 1001st post! Begone with you!”
And thus the OOC Solaris thread returns to its regular programming.

You can always PM me with a heads up saying that you want to continue playing but haven't been able to due to __________. I'm easy to work with folks. If there's no postings or PM's from you your character may or may not have an unfortunate accident.

So, having now spent two hours singing 'Misty Mountains' from the hobbit to myself, I've decided to ask y'all for some inspirations. Let the suggestions for content and song begin!

If rock, First up, Enter Sandman by Metallica, followed closely by Kickstart my Heart by Motley Crue, and then finish with either Hell by Disturbed, Pain Redefined by Disturbed, or Shoot to Thrill by ACDC.
That's my suggestion...
Oh and for the Film scores, pick and choose which you want.

On the other hand never actually sat down to listen to Motley Crue or ACDC, just picked up the odd song here and there. I'll need to check 'em out. Right now listening to Kick Start My Heart. Good song, but the wrong vein for Jack. Looking for stuff that can be described with at least two of the following:
-**** Drunk
-Angry
-Shenanigans
-Mad
-Defiant
One of the songs that has really been doing it for me is this:
It's off the latest Homestuck album, 'Cherubim'. Actually, pretty much all the Caliborn songs fit. It's an album about two characters, cute and sweet Calliope (Odd numbers) and the obsessed with games, terminally enraged Caliborn (Even numbers + Eternity Served Cold).
Plus a lot of Korpiklaani stuff.
So basically a really weird mix of stuff.

Grave Digger is good, listened to some of their stuff. Haven't listened to much Alestorm in a while - they got taken off Spotify a year or so ago for some reason and I've only heard the occasional song since as a result. Who's Karl Sanders?

Karl Sanders is the mind behind the death metal bad, Nile. He does everything from the song writing, lyrics, mixing and everything else that goes into it. They frequently use exotic instruments and are notorious for using samples and mixes in their songs.
Oh yeah and while living out in Nevada I worked with a bunch of guys who always blasted their (c)rap on their phones...

I tried Nile for a while, a friend was heavy into them, but I just couldn't get into it. Too much 'Death' not enough 'Metal' as a friend used to put it.
That song you linked is very interesting though. Definitely not my regular stuff, but very good.
So you liked the idea? Shiny ^^

Yeah Nile I can only really listen to when it's Summer time here. Nice 110 F. days. It's easy to see myself in Ancient Egypt then.
As to that other thing... *looks at his own allegiance icon* I may have some biasness towards that idea.
