Well I don't think you've made a post yet where you didn't mention that Izzy has been unable to do something the way she used to since Sora left or that Sora was the one who did that job, so I think everyone but Guardian Wolf has picked up the hint :D
He tends to be a bit slow, you may want to spell it out, l i k e t h i s.
Otherwise he'll think she's just depressed because he hasn't killed enough f*cking bars -.-

Izzy would just leave the Stables if she got stabbed by Heather. She barely has any self-esteem left, so she'd be so embarrassed she'd just run.

She's never been right since Sora disappeared :) (I hope I've been getting that across well enough :s)

I think Bertie would leave the Stables if anyone got stabbed by Heather. Possibly without the little monster that his daughter had suddenly become.

LOL.

Ok, good. Izzy just has to worry about spooking the poor girl.

Works.

Soooo...I take it that's a 'no' to teaching her that violence solves everything?

Also, what I hear in my head in every RP when Guardian has a character enter a bar. This is not actually a joke, but when I told my Dad Guardian is like and he immediately referenced this, I had to go find it.
From the first level of Star Wars Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight:

EDIT: Skip to about 12/13s in

EDIT THE SECOND: So Heather is being bunked in with Izzy? Seems out of character for someone on the run to stick their 6 year old daughter in another dorm someplace with a stranger? I dunno, maybe Bertie thinks she needs a woman's influence or instinctively trusts Izzy or something, and it does keep her away from Jack!

Bertie's not particularly happy about the situation at all. If he had his way, he wouldn't even be with Rainbow Stables, but his daughter's health comes first, and she has medical bills which Rainbow are paying for. He'd prefer that he and Heather had their own separate space, but since that's not happening, Izzy seems less risky than Mad Jack or the Capellan, neither of whom he trusts much. Plus, there are guards here to protect them, right?

Also, as much as "being on the run" has raised his wariness about his daughter, being a travelling, lone wolf merc has also done a lot to lessen its baseline. Traveling with other people, often unsavoury people, in dangerous places has somewhat distorted his opinion of what "normal" and "safe" are. He leaves her unattended in the maintenance spaces of war machines. He goes out late and expects her to be able to find the MREs for dinner. As much as he worries and cares about her, Bertie's not really a great father, when it comes down to it.

Seems fair.
Although I'd argue he's not met either Jack or DeMarkus, and the only other roommate of Izzy's we know of is Dylan!

yeah... both Jack and D are kinda rough around the edges, but that doesn't mean they're bad guys. I can't speak for Jack (but I'm pretty sure I'm right about this) if D saw anyone messing with or trying to hurt Heather, he'd bury them.

Jack...it'd depend on the situation. If he saw someone take a swipe at her though, he'd probably take a few right on back.

D is bit of an attack dog. If he sees anyone that he considers weak or unable to defend themselves being hurt something snaps in his head and he rushes to put the hurt to the attacker. I'm not sure if it should be training or some moral code, it's just what he does.

A good example would be when Jimmy was gonna smash up Kaylee with the wrench.

See Jack's used to that kind of thing. He's served with some right down and dirty pirates. He's done some of that. The reason Heather is a special case is he's never seen it first hand to children. And that was something that used to be very important.
He'd also extend coverage to Dan (Friend), DeMarkus (Likes for no apparent reason, and lancemate), (Kaylee, once he knows she 'belongs' to DeMarkus), Bertie and Fred (Lancemates) and any dependants they have. Protect the unit, the unit will protect you kind of deal.

Bertie hasn't met Jack or D, but he has seen them at the proving grounds. Jack seems a dull-witted ape (piloted his 'Mech into a van, can't do read) while D seems ok but, well, he's Capellan. He doesn't even know Dylan is in the stables yet.

Jack can read, just not Erin's deliberately shoddy handwriting :(
I do see the argument against Jack now, but if the only other pilots he knows in the stable are Fred (Friend), Jack (Dumb Ape) and DeMarkus (Capellan) and random secretive job stranger girl (Izzy) I would have expected him to want to keep her as close to Fred and Bertie as possible. As stated though, your call, just throwing some alternate reasons against :D
Mainly 'cos I was looking forward to Heather softening Jack up :P

Bertie could always beg ask to be moved to another dorm, one where Heather can have a room across the hall from him. Then have someone else move in with team one...

Voss can be hired as the nanny!

Heather: "I am hungry..."
Voss: "Wait? Who are you?"

I said 'could' Rogue.. Fredrick could get moved, then he could try to charm Izzy. That'd go great when his psycho x finally tracks him down.
