Adaptive music: http://en.wikipedia....i/Dynamic_music

I just think it would really help the flow of the game to develope music where in periods of calm, calm (caucious?) music may play. In the fight actiony music may play. The more damaged your mech becomes the more adrenalistic music would become.

MWO is ment to be a BattleMech simulator.
No point having dynamic music to perk it up - just use your own music.

I wouldnt wanna be stomping about with all this fan-fair jargon going on in the background.
All i wanna hear is the battle, weapons fire and STOMPING.
Music would ruin the experience of piloting the Mech.

Music can really fuel up adrenaline and tension in ANY situation and that is why they actually don't want people to listen to 'fast' music while driving because people tend to drive faster.

A VERY good example of dynamic music was in the FREELANCER game where the music changed depending on your situation.

Light Enemies Close - 1 Music Theme
Medium Enemies Close - 1 Music Theme

Etc..

It also changed music depending on the damage you took or how successful you were and worked as a kind of warning system because you realized you were up **** creek when the music got dark and gloomy.

As long as it is a background music and not dominating it could work.
