I can only advise NOT to use these User.cfg s at all, my performance dropped from 25fps to 4-10fps after using these (tried them all).
After all it's the devs who need to fix this, looks like there's just no simple sullution.

Looking for an old post about low-end user.cfg tweaking for low-end computers

without the patched sys_spec files, most of the user.cfg are worthless:

But anyway... I agree with Gherkin!

A few days ago after playing a browsergame where i have to disable the sound to play it without lagging like hell, i started MWO afterwards and it started completly without sound too.
I was using TS at the same time and could still talk and hear there, but MWO didn't play a single sound. It was such a difference.
I am having really low fps usually, and the forest map is a big disaster for me. But that evening i could even enjoy the forest maps. (and turn+aim properly there)
Since then i am searching for an easy way to disable the sound of MWO, but muting it in windows, or putting the sound-sliders ingame all the way to the left had no effect.
Im no expert , so is it possible to disable it via the cfg file, or any other way ?
MWO isnt playable for me anymore since the last patch. Very low fps on every map, huge input-lag, no chance to hit anything.

Here's the user.cfg I use - http://pastebin.com/LVTDJk8B
I crash way less with in comparision to using the default settings (low/med/high/very high). I'm waiting until they put in DirectX 11 before trying to playing normally without it.
