Will this be added back into the game? I am really getting tired of not being able to do a damn thing about light mechs... It's so broken and unrealistic. If I am x amount of tons I should be able to knock that Jenner over no problem not simple glitch though him like a ghost.

Edit: I will admit running into your team mates was a bit annoying espeically when you have 2 jenners running around an Atlas or something and they'd knock each other down but it added depth to the game and some skill. Removing it was I think dumb.

Im with you but only when the collision will implemented in the right way. So that my Raven when it runs with 100 kph and jump to the head of the static atlas, the atlas will also knocked down.

Collision are not a one way ticket, they works in both directions. Its all physic :)

Colisions were implemented in very anoying manner. (ridiculous animation, 3rd person camera, lying mech teleportation.) I hope they removed it just to make it again and better.

YES! It will be added again. They deemed that how badly it was working before it was better off just being removed while they worked on and re-implement it when it's ready.

It does mean light mechs have even more of a speed advantage right now so my suggestion is make the most of it (and light mechs are the easiest to farm cbills with anyway)

the idea is to make it better... however even in it's broken state... it was atleast an equalizer vs the crappy netcode protection that lights get.

Because people were using chain knock down as a tactic but it's nothing but cheese. Also, it's horribly broken on what gets knocked down and what stays up.

There were teams I was running into with my light mech that would have their max speed commando or jenner come over and ram me so their teammates would pelt me with rockets and lasers. Then I can't report emeny movement.

i think that turnig off colision for open beta was the right choice. most of the crashes would occur during start when new players running around. this is no fun.

but i hope it will be implemented later again because it is just right to fall over when 100t are hitting you.

i would prefer a system which implements such stuff as somekind of strategie. for example: not every mech can knock out other mechs. only specialized mechs with equippment can do "melee" dmg. the claw would fit into this system perfectly (not for ramming directly but for close action where i would put ramming too).

result would be that not every mech falls down by colision every time (many people complaining about that) but peoply who like this have the possibility to match their mech to their playstyle.
