LOL, nah no big deal. PUG is basically random individuals grouped together to make a team. Premades are when a group of people join a team (like a clan).

and
PuG
Pickup Group; used commonly in WoW and other MMORPGs. Basically means a group that isn't formed by people you know; instead, it's formed up of random, possible noobs that will completely wreck whatever experience you are getting the group for.

EDIT:
Last part take from the Urban Dictionary... altho i dont agree with the latter part of their description...boo

And MWO has a Hybrid PUG that is defined as a collection of 8 random players who utilize Comms so as to appear more Team (Clan based) than they really are... ;)

P.S. Comms does offer an advantage but the group is still usually +75% strangers...

I use it from Counter-Strike as Pick Up Group, in that you're in a group with 'x' amount of people, but you don't know them, and are randomly on their team. The alternate, for me, was 'Set Up' groups, where you used vent/TS3/etc with the specific people in the group.

As a rule though it is meant to indicate a lack of organization, and that the people involved don't work together.

I still prefer the MWO version - Lone Wolf (or Wolves) or Solo Player(s) grouped into a match basically without a pre organized type of communication (such as comms, C3, TS3, Ventrillo, TS2 or whatever)

Lil' bump for the thread, because I also had no idea what it meant and thats house Steiners loneliest Lone Wolf sayin'!

...even through I'm not sure if RP allows to be mostly on your own and have only a lose connection to one of the houses... but meh. Would be doing it anyway with my salvaged DRG-5N. :)
