I start every game with a friendly headsup and will give GGs if the enemy played well and my side lost. Please don't take that away. Not everyone is a troll.

If you run into an issue. write down what was said (written) your time (including time zone), map played and the offending players name. Send in a report ticket or email. The support staff will usually notify you within 24 hours that they received your report. They are pretty responsive, or always have been for me for game issues during Beta.
That's a bit extreme don't you think? How many players gonna do dat? If I'm going to go to that much trouble, I would much rather go ahead and FRAPS it to Youtube and show clearly what the player said. I know the devs don't want name and shame, but it's been an effective tool for thousands of years.

What did I say that isn't quite true?
Sorry, that it should be done away with (although I do respect that is your opinion, I'm just saying that I feel it's wrong in this case) and that it's unmoderated - every player moderates global chat - see something you don't like and all you need to do is screenshot it and post the screenshot into support, along with a brief email and they'll be moderated by Support.

I've seen both extremes. Had premades give out useful advice and be polite, had others spewing the childish nonsense. VOIP with a mute ability would be great. I need to screenshot and thank the good premades, as they make the experience much better for all.

It that a simple matter? Just type /report and instantly the chat log is rolled up and the offensive language, racist or derogatory comments are sent to the devs and the problem taken care of?
I wish.
But there is a method available. I agree it is obtuse, at best.
