Why not implement secondary objectives into the matches.

Primary Objectives are, as we all know, destroy enemy mechs and capture bases or ressource points.

The drops always run the same way. Why not spicing the whole thing a little up?

How? Here are a few suggestions of "extra missions" that actually could be put randomly into drops. They wont hurt the game balance, but would make the drops a bit more interesting.

-Well...there is that juicy warehouse up the street, containing LOTS of spares / ammo / fuel / food /whatever. Secure it, and get another 5000 CB Bonus at the end of the fight.

-A fighter crashed at the battlefield. The Team reaching him first gets 100 XP for collecting the intel data that pilot gathered.

-There is a power plant in the drop zone. Destroy it, for making sure the defenders have a blackout. 10k CB Reward.

-Survival means everything. You have gathered invaluable intel data, and are close to retourning them to base. Try to survive the match, no matter if you win or loose. (Assault only)

-Inmidst the Drop Zone, there is an operating zivil communication center. Secure it! Get 100 XP.

-The mining stations are running for quite a while. But satelite scans indicate there is more ore to be found. Move close to given locations and drop small scanning devices there. 5000 CB Reward!

I hope you get the Idea. Opinions?

I would be way ok with this if we had maps that were massive, and thus more time per mission. The current maps, even at their largest, I don't feel would be large enough to have any objectives other than the main 2. Idk just a gut feeling.

Although it could possibly work if the missions were asymmetrical, in a way that makes one team inclined to stick to their spawn point (defense mission or something similar). It would be especially interesting if the extra objectives were randomized.

Mapsize could be a problem, true, but I like the idea. Sure would introduce a different layer of dynamic to the battles.
