Having played BT, and every version of the comp game, since it first came I have some some suggestions that make sense in game;

1) lasers and direct fire energy weapons should not be a continuous beam at all but a VERY short and accurate burst, (the beam allows for weapon sweeping), especially if you need to have continuous contact for full damage.

2) The hit glow is still a bit bright.

3) hitting the head ( I have seen my weapon strike the head of an ATLAS and the damage was shunted to a torso).

4) Trial mech cooldown ; once a trial mech has been used in a battle have a cooldown period to force the use of the others, and to reduce the sheer number of assault mechs on the field.

5) Ammo explosions? I have not seen one...like ever!

6) Terrain, even World of Tanks has trees than can be knocked down...destroyable buildings , and general terrain issues like damage to legs from walking off cliffs and the like.

7) allow zoom on the scroll wheel.

Lasers do tend to spread there damage around too much...

I want to see it back to the way it was before the big graphics engine change in Sept.

The head is a very small area to hit, the atlas specifically is only its eye, not the whole head.
Otherwise its wayyy to easy to head shot someone. Practice and you'll get it.
What I find odd is that they up'd the armor on the head soo much that you can't one shot anyone.

Happens to me all the time, trying manually powering up your mech ('p' key) when your shutdown and keep firing... it'll happen.

click down on the scroll wheel, that's zoom.
