My game window is stuck in place high and to the left, putting most of the important buttons off screen. Ive tried changing res, hooking up a second screen, attempted to move the window but no matter what i do it wont move or change. Any ideas?

Is this the Launchpad screen or the Combat drop screen?

What is your current desktop/laptop resolution, and what is the max resolution?

Are you playing in Full Screen or Full Windowed Mode? It almost sounds like you have it set for Full Screen and it is using a resolution different than your native/max LCD resolution.

Its each screen you go through, from the patch to the log in to the game screen they are all high and left and the window wont move or adjust in any way. I can barely get to the options its so bad. Im using a desktop and a normal 21inch screen. My vid card is a 5590 hd i believe, coupel years old but runs everything beautifully. Ill try to match my displays better i guess. What is the default res on the games main screen, where you see the ready mechs and such, ill try to match that i guess.

Try ShiftWindow. I've used it for several apps and it works quite well.

The launchpad itself, as per system.cfg file in the MWO folder is as follows:

-- Set 16 by 9
r_Width = 1280
r_Height = 720

Right now it is set to that. Trying to change it to anything difference will not work, as screen itself will reverts back to that setting, display wise.

Is the monitor a (4x3) 21in screen or a wide screen (16x9 or 16x10)?
What is your desktop resolution right now? And what is the max resolution for the monitor?

You can also move the window by hitting ESC in-game by the title-bar and then dragging the window into place. Would be nice if we could manually set offsets though as I'm constantly dragging the window to the top of my screen rather than the centre.

I have a similar problem in that my login screen and the base screen are of center to the left. My combat screen was the same but I managed to fix that. I can drag the screens to center but after every match they revert back to off center. Tried matching up ingame resolution with my standard resolution but that didn't work. I'm using a standard 20" screen, Gforce 9500 gt, windows xp.

i got a similar problem, both mechlab and game screen are offset to the lower left corner

the mechlab is movable but the game screen can't be touched till after i die.
when i tried setting to full screen, the issue becomes critical and i cant see anything at all when i launch (although i can hear my mech getting clobbered)
