At the moment , suiciding with the trial mechs and restarting games makes you soooooo much more money than playing an Awesome missle boat. A lose might get me 10 - 30k profit with my Awesome . Spamming trial bots and suiciding then quiting and restarting gets me atleast 75-80k per few minutes of game play. Can the devs look at this? I think its not balanced correctly. I would like to play the mech i enjoy and not spam trial bots when im low on money.

Its an owned Awesome

Are you talking about an owned Awesome or the Trial Awesome?

I think owned if he is making that little. Even if he is horrid at the game the trial Awesome he should make 65k at the lest.

Also don't run suicide games. Kills other peoples fun like mad.

Couple things to keep in mind if that's an owned Awesome.

1) Turn off Auto-Reload for missile boats and just let the game give you 75% of your max ammo for free. It drastically reduces your rearm costs. And no, this is not a cheat. This is working as intended.

2) Salvage bonuses. Learn them. Love them. Leg everything that moves.

I make more money in my Awesome than in any other mech, personally.

Yup I agree, which is sad because I love the Archer mech and have built a as close as i can get right now AWS-8R into a archer. But with 2 LRM20's and 8 tons of ammo my repair and rearm costs are out of this world.

On a loss ill break even(with premium time, would lose money without premium.), and even on a good win ill make maybe 30k-40k.

Thats why i grind in a jenner when trying to rack up cash fast.

This is by design. Lighter mechs can make plenty of cash in death match, heavier mechs are generally more effective at combat and offer more support to teams. Save them for special occasions or don't load up with expensive items (Read: LRMs, ferro armor, SSRMs).

On top of this
Stay on the 2end line of the team, use your missiles and then move up and use the 2xlalas to finish off mechs and support your team.
Focus on just getting the hang of your mech, run the trial mech as it is more or less the same ans the one you are running. Heat management, selective targeting of mech hard points, speed, handling, and most of all, self confidence in your pilot skills of said mech.

this is a really good post and deserves some attention from devs

As usual the post seems to go off topic with such posts as "well my Awsome does bla bla bla" the point to keep in mind here is the general topic of making money with OWNED mechs. Now weather you are using one particular mech in one particular way to maximize money like shooting out legs and stuff I dont think that matters, the point here is that we should be able to play how we want and still make money doing it ill be it less if we spam ammo that costs money but still more than trial mech games.

Now i am an Atlas user and i can tell you unless you use the one Atlas that that uses energy weapons (4 energy wep slots) you pretty much cant help but blow all ur winnings. There is another post on here i read about Atlas users having serious trouble making money even on wins and its ABSOLUTELY FACT.

with an Atlas if you factor in upgraded armor and weapon reloads even on a win after repair and re load its not "UN COMMON" to make only like 30-60k out of 170k its insanity even more so when you factor in that Atlas mechs cost the most in the game to buy, they tipicaly use heavy weps wich cost the most, the ammo for said weps cost the most, and the high armor costs he most to repair.... So all this works against someone going Atlas to the point that it becomes impossible to aquire funds to buy another Atlas mech when they have a price tag of 10-13 million... so my point here is that the returns just are nto fair for Atlas users when you COMPARE them to other mechs or just using trial mechs.

LETS BE CLEAR im not suggesting Atlas mechs should make the same money as other mechs (then agian why not? shouldnt we be rewarded more for the damage delt or damage taken) but there is a point at which it crosses the line of bearable to pointless, futitly ruining the fun and play of an entire important class of mechs. I think that point was crossed and then some i agree with this poster all the way. Too much insentive to switch back to an old trial mech and just blow ur self up being stupid or just disconnect and go to the next trial... i know cause i have been tempted to do it and i know people that do do it. obviously stupid for this to be the technique to make money.

You must have missed the 5,000 or so topics on how Repair+Rearm costs are (at least temporarily) going away on Tuesday.
