Hey all and welcome to the game!

Seeing as how I can't post in the 'Welcome' section for some reason, I thought I'd drop this here.

Anywho, my name is nungunz! Been in here since the Founders got access and have played a bunch of games (both in PUGs and in Premades).

Feel free to ask any questions, hints, tips about the game or drop me a PM.

I'm also happy to group with anyone that's interested in learning the ropes.

Currently there is no lobby in game so we can't chat there, but there is a teamspeak server for the Beta set up. It's a great way to get into the game and talk to people (headset/microphone required).

They also have an excellent training grounds channel where other experienced people will drop into a game and help you out.

Also, here are some great links to reference!

For all you weapons/equipment needs.

For how to use the social/group/chat functions in MWO:

Once again, welcome to the game, pilots! Go nuts on your questions.

Thanks, dude. Newish player here. I have a question, if that's ok? TAG. I've googled this a bit, but can't seem to find any solid stats on it. What exactly does it do? Decrease lockon time for missiles? Thanks in advance, brutha. :)

TAG is like locator/target marking beacon. While you are targeting an enemy mech with it allied missiles (LRMs and SSRMs) will lock on faster and increases their accurarcy (IE has a higher chance of hitting the same hitbox).

It also slightly tightens the grouping of SRMs....but seeing as those are dumb-fire missiles the effect isn't as great.

Same goes for NARC, but instead NARC has a timer on it as it is a missile instead of a laser.
