[Mister Blastman]

I miss this aspect of Mechwarrior tremendously. It was absolutely the best thing we could do in Mechwarrior 2/Mercenaries/Mechwarrior 3. Playing versus other teams is great... but dueling is awesome stuff. Yet... we can't do it here. Well, unless we fight someone on our own team or call someone out on the other team and pray the rest of them don't join in on your "duel."

The game just isn't that conductive to it right now.

I know the developers have said they plan on adding a feature such as this at some point--I just wish it'd come sooner than later.

Imagine for a moment... your favorite forum troll (there are lots of us!) and instead of bashing them with words, you call them out! Call them to a duel. A battle of wits. A battle of the best man winning. You make your batchall--lowest bidder picks map. You decide on weapon limits... or none. Then... you do the deed.

Ahhh the thrill of it. The rush of adrenaline. The challenge of single combat versus another person. May the best man (woman or *************) win.

Someday... somewhere... maybe.
