Playing the game with your friends makes all the difference in the world!
Yesterday i played as a lone wolf and today i grouped up with 3 friends to play. It was a huge difference, and now i dont just mean that i won more matches but that it was immensely more FUN to have 3 friends to discuss tactics and other things with while playing win or lose.
I must recommend to all lone wolves out there to at least try it a few times to get together a couple of friends to play with, you will be glad you did it.

Some of you may have no friends...if that is the case House Marik will be your friend. Please visit our website http://www.house-marik.net to become a part of House Marik. We have active experienced players dropping in groups daily. Come join us!

At the moment I don't have many friends that play MWO, and the ones that do are in Australia, so time differences are killer.
BUT if you don't have friends that are playing, make friends
Be polite in your games and work together with your team, communicate. Before you know it, you will be having more fun, others will have more fun, and you may even get a friend or two through it

It's SOOO true that if you play with friends [I have become friends with about 100 people now, all in the game] the experience is different and much more fun.

My friends tried the game and refuse to play it because it was not fun for them.

Well did you all team together and play as a group or did your friends try it each on their own?
Can't answer for him but I played as a group with my two buddies.
One got frustrated only being able to shoot a few times every few minutes if he didn't want to overheat and the other did well but got bored.
The only thing I could really say is "It gets better once you get you own mech, for real" but even after playing for a few hours they were no-where close to anything even remotely decent.
We just played WOT instead
Edit: I have another friend I'm gonna be trying it out with pretty soon but eh... he's not really into online games. not sure why I even recommended it tbh...

I guess that you really do need to be able to stomach a slower paced game to enjoy MWO with or without a group.
Still if you do enjoy mech games you really should try to do it grouped with your friends.

A friendly reminder to get together with your friends to play the game.
