In quite a few of the novels, during a hot drop the mechs quite often get scattered over a large area.

The task then becomes:

Attacking force-
1. Hunt for friendlies. (Scouting)
2. Avoid an overwhelming force. (Evade and Escape)
3. Protect rally point. (Support and Brawlers)
4. Try to find your objective. (Scouting)
5. Complete the objective. (Command and Team effort)
6. Locate evacuation area and hold for extraction. (Support and Team effort)

Defending force-
1. Determine invaders objective. (Scouting)
2. Locate and destroy lone/small groups of mechs to decrease the chances for completion of objectives. (Support and Brawlers)
3. Deny intel on possible objectives. (Scout and Support)
4. Defend objective from assault. (Command and Support)
5. Locate and Assault enemy rally point. (Scout and Team effort)
6. Locate and close / prepare ambush at possible escape routes. (Scout and Team effort)

All happening at the same time!
On a large map this could have the potential of an epic match!
Useful in conquest games as well as in the dropship mode when it is implimented.
A random placement of the objective, as well as random placement of individual mechs on the attacking team, would provide an almost infinite series of games.
To clarify just in case of confusion.
Neither team would know what the objective would be until they were able to scout the possible locations. I envision at least 5, but that could even change depending on the map.
The defending team would not always start in the same location / drop point.
The attacking team would be completely random without regard to weight, speed, etc. Each would drop in a seperate spot without los on any other friendly team member.

Imagine dropping behind the enemy force in a scout and having to try to find your way through to your unit. *shhhhh. Be vewy, vewy kwiet. Were hiding from Atwases. Heh Heh Heh..... *

Yes, this has been posted in the suggestion forums for the Devs.
Now I just want to find out what the interest level is for it.

Thank you all for your responses, opinions, and suggestions concerning the idea.
