Hello, noob here but has anyone ever fumbled a key and then found themselves with single fire weapons on a rotating basis?
i'll explain further
there i was having a good time when i got distracted by something and out of old habits went to the arrow keys to move forward and my weapons started being highlighted. only thing was my left mouse button wasn't firing group one anymore instead it now fires one weapon after another and the weapons grouping doesn't mean anything anymore. i just can't for the life of me figure out which key toggled this! a side note the control option on the main menue needs to incorperate ALL functions. an example is double keys, alt + enter toggles full screen mode, not in the menu and this cycle weapon mode which makes the little squares round the numbers highlight on and off, maybe that highlight bit was something i never noticed before but i can't fire my weapons properly now. even more annoyingly this toggle has locked out on anymech i go into.
i know i sound like i'm whining but fireing a laser at a time and then when you target an enemy mech your left mouse doesn't work except that it may fire weapons group two has rendered me totally useless, i was only slightly useless before. so i can't play the game now unless i want to look even more like an ***** fireing lrms at point blank range then before carking it firing off one laser instead off both. {trial mech awesome if you were wondering}
so anyone know what this mystery cycle weapons toggle button is? cause i'd love to click a left button and have all weapon group one fire again and not move on to firing other weapon groups.

not sure.
maybe the chain fire mod is active?
or the line going down is on the wrong group.
to toggle chain fire use the backspace, you know its on when there is a black box on the group that is being chain fired.

they should change that into another color, the blackone can be barely seen, but yeah you probably changed into chainfire mode.

Also, your left mouse fires the highlighted group, right mouse always fires group 2.

Hi, i've been searching through the forums and this is the closest thread i have found yet. I'm currently exploring the potential of my 6 med laser jenner, and I feel like I could get better heat maintenance if I were able to cycle my lasers into groups of 2. but to my best knowledge i can't cycle groups of weapons, only individual weapons to cycle.
basically, i want to have my mouse1 to cycle between the 3 sets of 2-laser groups.
anyone have any experience setting this type of thing up?

Set 3 lasers to group 1, 3 lasers to group 2. Put both in chain-fire mode. Press both mouse button at the same time. This will fire 2 lasers at a time in chain-fire mode.

Weapon groups are assigned by using the Up, Down, Left and Right Keys to move the cursor and the Right Control Key to turn on the selected weapon in the selected group.
Weapons will be assigned to fire all at once when you press the coresponding key, by pressing Backspace you can active chain fire. Chain fire will fire one weapon at a time inside the weapon group. This is extremely useful on the hotter maps.

That sounds familiar. Was that a feature in MW2?
