Its open Beta and we have half the announced Mechs. When will we see the rest? Was it really more beneficial for a heroic mech to be introduced than to have all the announced mechs in game?

Cataphract in November
Stalker in Dec (estimate)

It takes them a month to put out a mech right now, and they are released (approximately) in the order they were announced

Not going to happen sorry.

I am betting they won't introduce the clans until around Wave 5 which took place after the Clans retreated to elect a new ilKhan after Leo Showers death. That would put the clan introduction at around November 2014 based on the current time line.

Don't believe me? Lets figure it out.

The Highlander is Mech 17. This means that it will be introduced in June 2013 I think. They are probably going to at least release 3 more Inner Sphere designes so we have an even 5 mechs of every weight class so that puts them through to Sept 2013. Then they need 16 Clan mech if they add all the 3050 Clan mechs. That is 16 more months beyond that so December 2014 or right around the launching of Wave 5 of the Clan invasion....surprise, surprise :D

Thats my point if the game is not stable enough to bring in 2 of the announced Mechs a month was it necessary to bring in a heroic Mech. It adds nothing to the game other than a mech with a fancy paint job. They could have brought any number of legendary mechs into the game like Jamie Wolfs Mech, or Legend Killer, or Hans Davions mech, or the Precentor Martials mech. None of those mechs would bring anything to the game other than the fancy paint job. There will be skins once the game goes live, we all know that. New mech types bring new content to the game play simply because they offer different playability. You can trick out a hunchy like Yen Lo Wang. If the game is far enough along for open BETA than there should be more content like mechs, like terrain, like additional areas to do battle. So I can see were some of the new players are dissatisfied.

Not everyone at the company does the same job. The YLW used an existing model with a fancy paint job, giving the guy who's in charge of the fancy paint job department something to do while simultaneously allowing them to test something which is no doubt important to their business model for this game. I'd like to see more mechs and maps, too, but I don't know that the YLW represents a significant distraction for PGI from, say, stability and balance.
