I know all mechs don't allow jump jets, but if one varient allows them, will other varients of the same chassis allow them?

example: the [color="#0066cc"]Cataphract CTF-3D[/color] has them but could you put them on any other cataphracts?

If so, how can you tell before purchasing a chassis?

I haven't bought my first mech yet and this is a consideration before I buy...

Depends on the 'Mech. Some of them, every single variant has jump jets. Others, only certain ones do.

You can tell by looking at the loadout before you buy. If it can have jump jets, it will have them by default. If you don't see jump jets listed, then it cannot have them.
