Dood, if I saw a game I loved being offered for FREE, I'd let EVERY FORUM EVAR know about it. I don't see any reason why Deathscream should feel like he's done anything wrong. Way to spread the Fallout love, buddy!

(and I suggest you all get this while you can, you have NO IDEA how hard it was to try and get this game working on Windows 7, and I pride myself on having many legacy games on my laptop.)

GoG.com is a great site offering the best old games and soon new and indie games DRM-Free for a reasonable price.
Sadly, sadly, sadly they have not a single Mechwarrior game in their catalogue yet.
But if you can get one of the best post-apocalyptic rpgs for free dont ask why - get it yourself asap!

It's not commercial if it's free , actually it's more like pirating... but legal...

If the owners find it ok thats ok, I just kind of find it tacky. whats to stop others posting on other games they find cheap will Paul have to create a Game Market watch forum, Or game big deals forum so if steam suddenly has weekend sale on holliday sale everyone can post about it here...

"Dudes steams having a call of duty this weekend for 32 dollars be sure to pick it up now dudes!!!! " How do we know its just a player letting us know about a good deal and not an employee for the place getting paid to post here in future posts?

I dont wish to be mean to the person that started this post I just wish to say I find it impolite. This company pays to put this up, pays for the internet connection so we can connect to it and use it to communicate to us the fans of this genre of games. To open up a new forum to sell your bike or tell everyone of great deal that on steam or GOG kind of impolit to them and the work they are doing.

Fallout came out in 97', what was I playing in 97?

Probably Command & Conquer and Monopoly, and Goldeneye on my N64.

And know that some forum do exact this and i dont feel that the negatives (costs) outweight the positives (having an alive forum that people like to visit for diverse reasons reminding them that there is a great game to play which enables MWO making some money).

This is a great chance for younger people to play a classic. Also, Ron Perlman.
GO AND PLAY PEOPLE!

I know that Mechcommander 1&2 are freeware but (as far as I know) the various mechwarriors (bar 4) aren't, there is any chance of a GOG release for them? It is hellish to get them working on my modern sistem. Maybe I'm simply too old and stupid, but...

Also, GOG and Steam aren't EVEN comparable.GOG is Polish. So,inherently superior  .

Mechcommander 2 isn't that hard to get working, I just had an issue with my mouse disappearing. Imagine me trying to navigate to the options menu and turning off Hardware Mouse or whatever the issues was, without being able to see the mouse. XD

Also, I seem to have somehow gotten the original copy of Mechcommander 2, not the free source code one. I feel bad, but all those live action videos look so pretty. (also, multiplayer )

Oswin, I can play without problems Mechcommander 1&2 (I'm currently playing Mechcommander 1 ...thankfully in English considering that I wasn't able to stand the ATROCIOUS dubbing in the version I bought years ago).

The problem is playing the various Mechwarriors: Mechwarrior 2:Mercenaries in DosBox is unstable and slow as hell, for example.

Got hold of my copy this morning. Only signed up to get Fallout, but seems I might have to drop some cash for some other spacesim games they have on offer.

sadly, it does not work as well as i would have liked <.<
640x480 is horrible . . and with the high resolution patch it either does not start at all or it's slow as hell . .
