That's not sarcastic. I'm not a big poster on these (or any) forums but I just wanted to extend some well-earned props to PGI for a very successful Open Beta (i.e. release) rollout.

No server crashes. Not gummed up log-in servers. No problems getting into matches.

Game runs smoothly, matches are fun for the most part and I see lots of new folks in matches trying out the game.

Heck this launch is better than 90% of the pay-for-the-game-and-a-subscription launches I've seen!

I've logged around 15 hours in-game over the last few days (Monday in pre-mades and yesterday in a mix of pre-mades and PUGs) and have to disagree with all the complaining about pre-mades.

While pre-mades are definitely an advantage (80/20 win rate vs about a 45/55 win rate with PUGs), I chalk most of it up to many of the PUG pilots still trying to figure out the game. Reality is, people don't want to read or watch videos about how to play the game. They just want to jump in and try it. If they can't pick it up and get frustrated, THEN they'll look at that stuff.

I played with several buddies last night ("Pre-made" if you consider a group of 4 with 4 randoms a pre-made) and won about 1/2 our matches. Got crushed once or twice by 8-man well-organized groups and the vast majority of our matches were competitive. Funny thing, in a couple of matches I tried using the commander function to give people not on our voicecom some organization and it worked! People in general want to fight as a team. (Notable exception being the frustrating AFKers looking to farm C-Bills the lame way)

My bottom line - my friends had a great time and will be back for more. Going to talk to them about joining House Marik with me.

Free World League Military forever!

P.S. Congrats again on the successful launch. Really looking forward to community warfare.

This is a very good observation; all it takes to look like a premade is to be slightly more organized than the enemy - and that is as easy as typing out "defend G6" or "focus A" in chat.

Most people do indeed want to fight as a team, but if nobody takes charge they won't know what to do. I usually type "stick together, focus fire, and cover team-mates" at the start of a match, and that normally leads to somebody else saying "let's go right", and from there on in we're a team, not just eight people that happened to drop together. Most of the matches where that happen we also win.

Game is overall very good. All the Cry is nothing compared to the good stuff you already made!

Thanks, keep up good work and always remind yourself: In every forum the biggest discussion are in the silly/qq/troll threads which may let you believe there is only cry. Don't run grazy because of that!

ITS NOT THE CASE! My playgroup is overall very happy and for sure there are existing problems but we all know there is ongoing improvement.

Don't give to much to the forum threads on page 1
