I think a good solution to the new player experience would be the ability to rent mechs for a limited period of time. Let all the variants be available for a percentage of cbills each lets just throw a figure of 10% of the mech cost for a 3 day rental. At this point we could go 75% cbills including the repair bill with a 25% cut to the company you rented from. To make a custom mech you would still need to buy one. Or we could possibly implement a refit charge to a rented mech. Let the warriors keep their owned weapons when the rental period expires.

Step this up a level and let people rent out their own variants and make a 25% cut or something. That would be an awesome feature for people to help their friends out who have just started.
